You know, my eyes read the words "RS-Junior" on the roster and for some reason my hands typed out "RS-Soph". I blame lack of coffee.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 8:57 am He's a RS-Junior. Did he have an injury year? RS's and COVID are going to keep guys on campus for a long time.

14 penalties to zero. If it wasn't Texas I'd be annoyed...

Re: Kansas (+8) @ Baylor
I'd give Carter Stanley much higher marks as a passer than Bean, but he doesn't fit the offense at all so I'm not sure where that fits.

Re: CFB 2022
Much as I enjoy the cognitive dissonance of Nebraska fans clamoring to hire a football coach from Kansas, I can't help but cackle at the idea of their reaction to being TURNED DOWN by a football coach from Kansas.
I really hope that comes true, on multiple levels.

Re: CFB 2022
The problem the Corn coach will have is that simply making a bowl isn't good enough. Absolutely. My gut feeling is that Leipold at Nowledge U would look a lot like Solich 2.0, which would be a tremendous achievement but we saw how THAT ended. The thing about Leipold's ties to Nebraska is that while ...

Re: Lance Leipold is a God Damn Gangster.
Not sure where this goes, but this gives us a rebuttal to anyone from the purple pig farm telling the Kansas-raised kids that KU won't give them a shot or trust them in a critical situation. I think that was an impression that Miles and Weiss presented, that they were looking to build with studs ...

I'm just cackling over Texas shelling out $24M to get rid of a coaching staff that went 32-18 and won four bowl games in four years, just so they could have.... this

Re: Kansas Football 2021 Season
Since the start of the 2016 season, KU Football has won 9% of its games against FBS teams not from Austin TX.
They have won 40% of their games against the Longhorns.

Re: 2022 NonCon
Exactly. The FCS game should be one where your non-starters can rotate in for some game experience. If they get called on during the remainder of the schedule they will have at least have been on the field once.

Re: 2022 NonCon
Just curious - Houston may be a conference member by then, how might that affect things?
And yes, I know that football is scheduled years and years in advance so it's unlikely we'll find someone with an open date anyway. Just a rotten scenario a rebuilding program.

Sept 3 Tennessee Tech
Sept 17 @ Houston (WTF?)
Sept 24 Duke
Can someone please tell me we are opening the vault to get out of that Houston roadie?
We have two dates to play with, the 10th and 17th, to find someone that won't give us a good shellacking.

Nobody else watching Only Murders in the Building on Hulu? I'll watch about anything with Steve Martin and Martin Short in it. Selena Gomez is really good in it too, making it relevant for the whippersnappers. 10th and final episode airing on Tuesday, for those of you that prefer to binge your shows ...

Re: Conference Realignment..?
What worries me is we have been talking about ISU + KU to be teams 15/16 in the B1G, but if they decide on only one midwest team and one eastern team then it becomes *either* KU or ISU. Not predicting which of the two would get the invite but sure adds to the uncertainty.
