Wow, I'm impressed you took the time to respond.
I find it interesting that you and I seem to mostly agree.

I am usually/typically a man of my word/s so I will donate to the Nature Conservatory - despite my giving them money in the past and my hating when I am stopped in my tracks on the sidewalk by their solicitors.
That and I don't like how they charge a "processing fee" when I make a donation.

My thoughts in order of how you responded.....

Obama - While I do believe he was born in the USA, I have to admit I can't say I am 100% "sure" he was born in the USA.
AIDS - I don't believe Jewish Doctors purposely injected the "virus" in to Black people. I don't think it's odd wealthy people such as Magic are fine because I believe they got better treatment that less financially fortunate people received.
Holocaust - Not a "hoax" and it really happened.
Sandy Hook - Not a "hoax". People who insist it was "fake" and there were crisis actors are seriously sick fucks.
First Moon landing - I believe it truly happened but.... I overthink it when I consider what it took to make it happen and the technology in 1969. I feel it was one of the top 5 "feats" in my lifetime.
JFK - I don't know what to believe other than the man was shot and died - and I don't at all discount that there was foul play - other than some nut job shot him on his own free will.
Roswell - I believe there is/was something that happened there that is/was not easily explainable. Do I believe there was extraterrestrial/alien life forms that were found? No.
9/11 - I do not believe our "government" and/or Israel's "government" were "behind" it. I do believe our "government" (actually "intelligence" agencies) had an idea something of the sort and magnitude was potentially/probably going to happen and I think the powers that be probably struggled to decide if they should or shouldn't warn the American people. There are multiple things I QUESTION - in regards to what happened and what we (American citizens) were told but I am not going to dive in to those things now because frankly I don't want to spend time going back and thinking about it - right now.

We are not so different. Thats why I try to hear out other points of view with an open mind. Most people are good people with good intentions. But form opinions based on what they are exposed to, and what issue or 2 they hold closest to the heart

“Open mind“ is a euphemism for “I’m a right wing apologist but I’m not comfortable labeled as such”.

“Open mind” does not mean that one tolerates stupidity. When presented with the flat earth position, for instance, an “open minded” does not say’Oh, I see your point of view’. The correct answer, open minded or otherwise, is “you’re a stupid person, now f-k off’.

You’re the flat-earther when it comes to Covid.

I dislike that approach and response as much as I dislike Randy's approach and responses.

I dont mean the as related to the specific issue of flat earth....of course the earth isn't flat and any other idea is silly.

I mean as a whole complete with the undertones present in the response.

Yeah, you're going to win a lot of people with that approach. Good luck.

I have different levels of how I may choose to react to this news (see link below).
You tell me which one applies to YOUR sentiment/s.

1. Who the fuck cares?
2. That's unfortunate but it's only Michigan.
3. Seems to be a growing problem and my guess is this gets worse nationwide in the near future.
4. Here we go again. Prepare for more "shutdowns" this winter.
5. This shit (flu/viruses) is really serious. It might end up just as bad if not worse than Covid this winter because many more harsh viruses are mutating.
6. Decent chance we're all going to die of a "virus" of some sort in the next few years - or at least before we get old.

Co-worker's nephew airlifted for/with RSV. Hospitals near her nephew at capacity in regards to "pediatric" beds.
Shit is only going to get worse.
Another winter that's going to suck.

Just another reminder of why lockdowns are terrible. People do not go out and get exposed to things they normally would. Now everyone is getting exposed but with immune systems that have been indoors too much.

Maybe people will learn to start taking better care of themselves? Thats the real lesson from covid. Exercise and a healthy nature diet to boost your immune systems is something this power grasping politicians and doctors/advisors (faucci types) never even mention and it blows my mind
