If Fauci created Covid 19 and released it on the world, cut his balls off and make him eat them.
Otherwise, let's move on and hopefully learn from our mistakes. As a country and a world.
Faucci was far more involved than he originally admitted. What can't be proven is his motives.

But he absolutely needs to be held accountable

Ok, I'm 100% in favor of accountability but what exactly should Fauci held accountable for - and if he should be held accountable, what if anything in regards to Covid and the USA's response to it should Trump be held accountable for?

I don’t think you’re going to get an answer worth reading gutter.

randy and co think Fauci is on a direct line with China and the lizard people.

The conspiracy-theory rubes are the modern, spiritual cousins of the ancients who made up shit like Poseidon being angry causing marine storms.

But of course it's not exactly apples-to-apples; the ancients came upon narratives to explain that which objective knowledge could not, where your Modern Rubes concoct narratives to deny what objective knowledge now makes plain (but, to them, disagreeable).

So the lab leak maybe wasn't a conspiracy theory?

What'd I miss around here after that news broke? LOL

What did Trump have to do with it?
Faucci was funding the gain of function research that enhanced the transmissability of this virus that infected the global population. And faucci has been lying in court trying to cover his tracks since

Except this is fucking ridiculous because the "conspiracy theorist rubes" did not make anything up, they just noticed what was happening around them. And were later proven to be right even by mainstream science, while the others were the ones dumb enough to beleive anything the media/politicians tried to convince them

nothing has been “proven”, dipshit
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

To be clear, of the eight agencies involved two believe in the lab-leak possibility “with low confidence”. Others don’t. Randy’s taking victory laps based on this.

"Maybe" being the key word. I doubt we ever really know since China will never allow a full investigation. We will forever be left to speculate. All we are left to do is assume that it could happen and try to build procedures so that we are able to monitor as well as possible.

Are you seriously asking me that question?

Faucci (You probably mean the NIH) funded the research that "enhanced the transmissibility" of the virus?
If the NIH did, why would you feel it's a bad thing - to fund research?

I agree.

And to an extent, the origin doesn't matter. My only hope is next time we learn from our mistakes we made this time around.

People were irresponsible. The media was irresponsible. It became way too politically driven.

I think the origin does matter but China will do everything to keep that origin hidden.
We as a world population won't get to learn from our mistakes because they don't give a fuck about the rest of the world.

Individuals learn from mistakes.

Societies rarely do.

Re: too politically driven, I wonder if it still would have been if the president at the time was treating the pandemic like a pandemic

That’s to say, treating covid like an actual public health emergency, rather than a combo more so of treating it like just another scandal to make go away ASAP like it’s hush money to a porn star, and also another chance to “own the libs”
