And no I still don't trust the fbi, cia, etc. The intelligence community typical has a motive behind their public statements. They don't often freely offer opinions or information to the general public on a lot of things
Its just interesting that EVEN they are saying it came from a lab now. A theory I've been considering for years and was criticized on her for by some of you

So ill add it to the long list of things you were wrong about regarding covid. Things I suspected and you (and others) wouldn't even consider over the past few yearsjfish26 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 1:21 pmIt means that what intelligent people and organizations do is use the best available evidence to assess complicated situations, and then be willing to update those assessments as the evidence develops further.randylahey wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 1:16 pm The fbi is publicly endorsing the lab link theory now... would love to see the left's translation of what that means?
Jesus Christ it’s not that hard.

You can't, because I don't speak in absolutes on things like this.
This is what comes to mind, but sub "rube" for "girl":
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
Let's say hypothetically someone said that yesufu was better than Dejuan Harris, Ochai Agbaji and Christian Braun, and compared him to kyle lowry, you know, hypothetically.
viewtopic.php?p=181421#p181421
Anyways, continuing on with our hypothetical, let's say this guy said, "Yesufu will be a major factor in 2023 and one of the top 3 players on KU in 2024, i guarantee it", and several posters came out and said, "i dunno about that, sounds doubtful, but I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility."
So then Bill Self, after Yesufu has kinda meh'd it all 2023 season but has his best game, comes out like he did a couple weeks ago and says how important Yesufu is going to be in the future.
Well then this guy starts saying I TOLD YOU SO I TOLD YOU SO while the other posters are thinking, "well, I mean, we didn't say that it couldn't happen, just that it wasn't the most probable outcome. Also, it's one game, there's a lot more games to be played, so I don't know if you can say your prediction is right just because Self said something briefly and he was good just then."
Well now imagine, in this hypothetical, Yesufu continued to play like he has after that big game for the rest of this season ( not good ). And then transfers in 2024 and plays really well for Indiana State next season. Said guy comes out and says I TOLD YOU SO I TOLD YOU SO and the posters are like, "we'll never really know, he's having a good season now, certainly, but I still have low confidence he'd be a top 3 guy for us this year."
So then said guys says, "So ill add it to the long list of things you were wrong about regarding yesufu. Things I suspected and you (and others) wouldn't even consider over the past few years"

The intelligence community typical has a motive behind their public statements.
so, so close…
so, so close…
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

wow, you really are dumbrandylahey wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 1:45 pm So what some of you are saying is suddenly you do agree it came from a lab? Despite arguing against it this morning when I posted that faucci tried to pay people off for saying that
literally nobody here has said that except you

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
I have not seen any of the evidence used by either the FBI or the Department of Energy to come to the conclusions that they reached so I have changed my opinion on the matter. I just understand that opinions change over time when someone IS presented with new evidence.randylahey wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 1:45 pm So what some of you are saying is suddenly you do agree it came from a lab? And I doubt that is the part that people were arguing against. It may have more to do with your evidence-free claim that Fauci paid anyone off to do anything.
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
That isn't what they are saying. They are saying that they have a low degree of confidence that it is the most likely source based on the evidence they have today. It's not a did/didn't lightswitch thing.randylahey wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 1:47 pm And no I still don't trust the fbi, cia, etc. The intelligence community typical has a motive behind their public statements. just because you say something over, and over, and over, and over, and over again doesn’t make it true

Some of yall have just been scared to face reality this whole time. Thats what the issue has been all along. Succumbed to fear from the very beginning
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
The goal posts aren't moving at all. This is exactly what consistency of though is. I have been consistent in stating that whatever is to be believed should be done so because there is reliable evidence to support it and I have not changed from that. It is why back when there was no reliable evidence made available to us to support it that I didn't think it was wise to assume that covid originated in a Wuhan lab and why I still feel that way. I have still not seen any evidence to support that conclusion personally.randylahey wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 4:30 pm Liberals have moved the goal posts so far on covid we are playing on a different field now.
Is it an assumption that the FBI did see what they consider to be reliable evidence and that led them to their recent statements? Yes. Would I like it if they shared at least some portion of that evidence with the public? Also yes.
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
It's not unspeakable; it can be investigated while still understanding that it may not be the origin. But that guy is just chumming the waters with his predictable Trumpism claims. It's Trumper buzzword bingo for guys like that in every comment they make.

If this false narrative helps you feel stronger, wiser and bolder personally then good on you. It's sad but who am I to stomp on your righteous buzz.randylahey wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 4:34 pm Some of yall have just been scared to face reality this whole time.
