Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I hope Bill takes a hard look at Kel'el Ware out of Oregon; 7'0" who blocks shots and can hit the occasional 3-ball. Didn't do much at Oregon, but he was the #7 recruit the year he came out of high school.

MJ transferring.

If Cuffe transfers and Dick leaves like expected. KU will have 5 available scholarships for transfers. Bill going to be hitting the portal heavy.

Not so good handling our 5 star 3's as of late.

bummer.

among those entering the portal, MJ was the only one who seemed like he might actually contribute next year.

He clearly wasn't ready this year.
It is an absolute bummer.
Sucks.

But as long as he doesn't outright blame his production issues on Bill Self and Kansas, I wish him the best ( unless he transfers to say ksu, Duke etc ).

I suppose it's related that, in a similar time frame, transfers HAVE worked out? or at least worked out better?

Lol can you blame them? He's exactly the kind of guy you hope to get in the portal. Humbled/disgruntled by his previous school but has a crazy amount of upside

Yeah, I think we'll have upwards of 9 new players next year.

Only holdovers will be Dajuan, KJ, Ernest and Zuby.

I mean, the fact we've got 5-6 bench guys transferring is maybe some roundabout way of suggesting some increased likelihood of getting at least one of Dick/Mc/Jalen back

particularly with MJ, who is the one wing we had remaining, and who was poised for big minutes next year...in contrast with guys like Yes/Bobby being behind Dajuan, and Zach/Cam being behind Udeh/Zuby/KJ

but that's prob just fanboy wishful thinking.
