"Hand over the Ferrari keys" means get fewer minutes than any of our starters.

They play Houston at noon.
Let's hope we go into the Texas game down 1 for the B12 race.

( pesky Iowa State who didn't have to play Baylor x2 and didn't have to play KU at AFH is also a problem - not sure where they slip up but it'd be really nice to have them do it @ ksu in the last game of the season )
i’m guessing baylor will be juiced coming off their loss to the fightin’ mormons
There's a very outside scenario where Baylor wins this Saturday, we win 4 in a row, and Iowa State slips up in manhattan just 2 hours before we play and now we know we can get a share if we win @ Houston.

Why didn’t Self just sit Remy and play Dajuan the entire second half of the natty then?

Not sure if you watched the KU UNC title game but Dajuan was in the game a decent amount in the second half including during our big run where we tied it up with just over 10 minutes to go ( and had 2 key steals in that run ).

In fact, believe it or not, both Dajuan and Remy were on the court at the same time and when they were Dajuan brought the ball up and initiated the offense. Crazy right?!

Vroom vroom with those keys tho!

Dajuan was the key to the second half comeback, started seconds into the half.

Remy was important too, Including clutch 3s perhaps the most important block by anyone not named T Rob.

But that wasn't the norm for a Remy performance. It was terrific but it wasn't business as usual thay some would like to believe.

I want to say Remy took over at point for the last, what, six minutes?
He was great in those six minutes - two clutch threes and as mentioned, a key block.
Good lord though there were four other guys in that game who played bigger roles in the win.

The FF MVP, the real FF MVP, Braun with 12 freaking rebounds and Wilson who tied us for the lead in scoring.

this team needs some of that grit. Somebody to go get rebounds, even out of position. We struggle so much wtoh rebounds which pisses me off because it's really just an effort stat.

Yea.
Braun, with his tenacious attack for the rebound, and Jalen with his, how the hell did he get another rebound he's always in the right spot.
KJ should be a combo of those guys.

I think some of the issue is that our guys just think Hunter has it but then he gives zero effort and does not have it.

Furphy is on his way there. i think he rebounds pretty damn well
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

omg you guys.

Remy did start to begin the year, and played starter minutes too.

Tho to be fair, that may have been as much as anything cuz of Jalen's booze cruise

then he got hurt and clearly wasn't up to speed. And also in the doghouse or whatever.

tho I don't mean to bicker here, so just take that all as a matter of fact, please.

and I do wish I remember, as gutter pointed out, what pdub said that was also matter of fact before he edited to go full illy instead.

And I guess “hand over the Ferrari keys” is another term confiscated by the fun police.

To actually make a comment on hoops, both of our natty teams featured a more dynamic lead guard off the bench in crunch time.

I made a mistake on number of games outscoring McCullars average and quickly corrected.
Still two out of the whole season isn’t a lot.

thanks for the clarification.

Here's to hoping a healthy McCullar will be the man for us for the next like 6 weeks...holy shit is that all the season that's left?
