MG's FT% was encouraging, though.
I'm holding out a bit of hope that people are saying Harris can't shoot simply because he won't shoot. His shot was far from the ugliest and it's not like his misses were airballs or hitting the side of the backboard. He's just a distributing PG first. He holds his HS assist record, so this wasn't a surprise.
I've seen players take less time at the FT line than Harris does before shooting a 3.

He certainly has more hope than Garrett did at the same point of their careers, but it doesn't look good enough to wait around on and he should continue to get recruited over.
Agreed about the recruited over point, but when it comes to the length of his shot, if he's left so wide open for a reason, why not take your time and make sure everything is set? Is he supposed to have a Ray Allen-esque type of quick release when no one is within 20 feet just to change the narrative of not being a good shooter?

I'm not saying he's the best and Self should be drawing up plays for him to take 3s, but there are a lot worse options shooting the ball than a wide open Harris.

On next year's team none come to mind for me...

I think it suggests that there really is a mental aspect going on and it's not just that he'd rather pass. I also think it's bad for any guard to pass up a good shot/have defenses sag off on him.

Yea.

We’re at the point we expect even a power forward/4 man to have a jumper.

Having the primary guards not be able to shoot is such a liability

40% of his attempts last year were 3s.

Yes. I mean, I don't know how much qualifies as "much of", but it's kind of his signature shot.

Wasn't that Texas? In the first half?

Also cannot confirm or deny that RUN DMC will be the performer at Late Night.

Yeah I think so.

When we played tiny ball with Jalen at the 5 and were up on Texas outrunning them in the first half
