So PDub starts a thread and immediately locks it.

I was getting dinner on the table and missed most of the 2nd half. I did see Dave get an offensive foul, but it looked to me like he pushed off with his elbow. Is that what everyone is whining about or was there something else.

It sure was. An elbow to the chest with an arm extension is as textbook as it comes to a post offensive foul.

When it extends it's almost always automatic.

I think a feed to Dave there was ok but there should have been a cut or a play to pass out.

Dont pass to him so far away from the basket from the baseline.

But, we're in Dave's fourth season. He does not pass it back out.

I think everyone was gassed, and Dave was the only one calling for it while our best players were sucking air on the weak side

It was quite clearly a drawn up play. You can't possibly be serious.

We cleared out, put our shooters on the perimeter, and had our best post feeder CB get it to Dave.

It was a lazy, arrogant, stubborn call by Self. He did it to try to boost Dave. And it cost us the game. The intention was good and pure, but you should play to win the game.

Well he doesn't need to be fed there unless hes established himself. Refs first, Self second then somewhere with Dave and the entry passer.

There were two defenders there when the pass came in.

We usually run plays with a few different options. Dave fit into the progression somewhere, and I guess you could argue he shouldn't have been in the progression at all.

I would have just given Remy the ball from the beginning and dribbled the shot clock to 8 with an Och option in there somewhere after that.

All the fucking plays we have for easy back door lobs, etc and we choose that. Dump to Dave and pray for a foul.

Because he missed timed his steps. He was preparing for razzle dazzle. That's why it ended in a left handed dunk instead of something flashy.

He def could have managed rotations better.

But this is also our first back to back game of the year, first tournament style atmosphere, and with new players trying to figure out roles.

Rather have the wake up calls now than later.

They looked pretty fresh.

So much of this game boils down to bad Dave, though.

That guy should be double digits, at the bare minimum, every night.

He certainly had enough good looks in this game to get there.

He also only had 1 defensive rebound. Get his head right--his legacy is a lot on the line.
