Number two behind a team that's melting in a dumpster fire currently.

"The No. 1 team on this list has been the top NCAA Tournament team this decade; Kansas has been the top regular season squad over the last 10 years. With nine conference titles in 10 years — and the one that was lost came in an injury plagued year — the Jayhawks were No. 1 seeds five times and were headed for a sixth this year before the tournament was canceled. Kansas reached two Final Fours and the 2012 national title game, along with three other Elite Eight appearances, and this year’s Jayhawks had perhaps Bill Self’s best chance to win a title this decade. For a program that gets knocked for its relative lack of tournament success, finishing in at least the Elite Eight in five of nine seasons isn’t bad."

It doesn’t speak well of our current bench if they can’t crack our rotation this season.

Silver lining is the “free year” may convince these kids to stay?

Lots of projects on our bench.

Enaruna probably gets the shaft a bit, as he has shown flashes of being pretty good. But lately it seems like as soon as he gets in the game he takes a bad shot or turns it over.

the worst part about that, is that those “mistakes” were made by our two supposed leaders/upperclassmen

Wrong guys to have the ball at the wrong times.

When we move without the ball we do well. When we stand around the perimeter and wait (which we do too often, and did again 2nd half at Texas) we end up with these 2 forcing action.

Problem is that we don't have a right guy to have the ball at the right time.

A roster of supporting pieces but no alphas out there at all. Maybe one of them develops into that but it doesn't seem likely. Hopefully we pick up a good PG in the transfer pool who is available immediately.

Yes.
You can look at the last 5 possessions of regulation.
And then you can look at the last 5 possessions of OT.
4 of our 5 starters fucked up.

And that's not counting the foul by CB at half court with a minute left with KU up 1.
