Don’t call gutter a clown!

He has to get seats that close, considering the lack of camera zoom technology on his Nokia flip phone.

I dunno if we can really be that good without addressing our lack of scoring from the lead spot, especially when paired with a slow soft old school center and an undersized non-shooting forwar.
Ous I think this counts as your first official shit on dajuan post of the 2024/2025 season. You made it all the way to a early June scrimmage

But yes, I'd mentioned this last year, that the awkward fit of those 3 weaknesses still exists. We will see if Self found better pieces to pair with them

But I didn’t mean to shit on Dajuan…he’s the best backup point guard we’ve ever had!

"I dunno if we can really be that good without addressing our lack of scoring from the lead spot"

I think we will get at worst a 3 seed this season and finish top 12.
At worst.
At best, we are the number 1 overall seed and win it all.

Is that considered good or not?

I can't stand Hunter but I do see a path ( and this is the only path where he gets to the NBA ) where he bumps his 3 point shooting up to like 38%. I also see a scenario where he improves enough on defense ( just from learning timing/positioning/the system AND from not being as worried about foul trouble because we have more depth ) to be an asset rather than a liability.

A trailing Hunter with a sprinting KJ ( or maybe even Bidunga apparently ) and our new shooters spreading to the wings could be our fast break offense and if that doesn't work, get the ball inside to Hunter and let him feel the double and dish.

Add in transfers who have shown the ability to shoot and the improvement of both DH and KJ, well, there is a reason why we're getting number 1 overall votes.

And these summer scrimmages mean about as much as Late Nite. That’s to say, they don’t mean much at all. (Unless heaven forbid Elmarko’s injury is worse than reported)

He and Dajuan combined for 4 points, tho again, it’s just summer scrimmage.

But I still think this roster is such a weird makeup. I dunno if we can really be that good without addressing our lack of scoring from the lead spot, especially when paired with a slow soft old school center and an undersized non-shooting forward.

And all scoring aside, what lead guard could possibly be better at distributing the ball than a guy literally named Passmore?
You do realize Passmore is more of a wing than a "lead guard", right? He is not a point guard.

But later mentions working on his 15 footer and outside game.
He better be. He isn't going to be a center in the NBA at his height. He will have to be able to shoot.
Maybe, maybe not. Nba centers have been getting smaller and more athletic over the past decades. If he has good feet and can switch and guard 5 positions, he's viable with his wingspan and athletic ability
Maybe he's still growing, but I am browsing around rosters and there aren't very many 6'8 or 6'9 centers.

The average height of an NBA center today is 6 foot 11.

bullshit. Each day rips more soul from the lifeless body of college sports.
Those will sell for high dollar amounts and help with NIL revenue. And I'm curious what kind of clowns we will see buying those floor seats

yea...as I said....soul sucking

Elmarko Jackson tore his patellar tendon at a basketball camp yesterday and is out for the year. Definitely need one more portal player now.

Let’s just be optimistic and assume we’ll be totally fine playing Dajuan 40+ a night.

(Does that count as new material?)

Yea, that’s what I thought.

And why I been fussing for a small/lead guard from the portal.
