Jags 0-1 since I made that post.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 5:50 am The Refs sucked last night. So did the Chiefs. Go ahead and blame the loss on both but.......
What I find incredible is that of all the Chiefs games threads I have read (partially and in their entirety) in my lifetime (my guess is 50+ or so) the Chiefs have never won a game because of the refs. Seems at least 25% of their loses were blamed on the refs more than on the Chiefs playing poorly. Interesting.
Moving on because there is no choice but to do as such....
The one ok thing about the L is that it was against an NFC team.
Don't forget the Chiefs currently have the best Conference record.
I believe the Chiefs have the easiest remaining schedule between them, the Jags, Raves, and Phins.
I'm predicting......
Chiefs 12-5
Jags 12-5
Raves 11-6
Phins 12-5
Chiefs 2023

Re: Chiefs 2023
And Lawrence could be in trouble.
That makes things easier for Baltimore though.
I don’t see the Ravens loosing more games than 2.
Though if we won out and the Ravens lost one I think we would own the tiebreaker which is win percentage in the AFC ( since we didn’t play them ).
Several of our looses have come from the NFC.
We also own the tiebreaker v Miami.
Of course, gotta beat Buffalo this Sunday and if our defense plays like they did last week, ain’t happening.

Re: Chiefs 2023
Yeah, the Chiefs just have to lose one less than Miami and Baltimore the rest of the way to get the #1 seed (technically JAX could still do it too but they are likely toast without Lawrence for even 1 game) and KC has by far the easiest schedule of the 3 teams.
Re: Chiefs 2023
Given that Burrow is out ( and I know his backup just won v JAX but that was with Lawrence getting hurt ) our toughest game remaining is Buffalo this Sunday.
Re: Chiefs 2023
That is true, but I sure hope Bolton is back the rest of the way.
Re: Chiefs 2023
The Kansas City Chiefs signed DB Tyree Gillespie to the practice squad and cut WR Chase Cota, per the NFL transaction wire.

Yep. As good as Tranquill has been, our defense was multiple PPG better with Bolton playing. We need to get one or the other back, preferably Bolton but I'd taken either one.
Re: Chiefs 2023
So Von Miller involved in a domestic incident and can play this Sunday.
But Omenihu got six games. Willie Gay 4.
Got it.

Re: Chiefs 2023
Maybe a stupid question - time.
Of course the Chiefs won't threaten to boycott the game if he plays but would the Chiefs benefit in any way if they came out with an "official statement" condemning Miller?
I doubt there would be any benefit to specifically call out the NFL for INaction.
I have to assume domestic abuse advocacy groups will some how some way rip the NFL for allowing him to play. At least I hope they will.

The Bills will have a decision to make this Sunday -- and I'm hearing they've already made it.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 6:32 am I have to assume domestic abuse advocacy groups will some how some way rip the NFL for allowing him to play. At least I hope they will.
Could be a PR nightmare if they play him -- my guess it will for a few days and then people will just move on to the next thing.
"The woman told police she was six weeks pregnant and showed them a photograph of a positive pregnancy test and a screenshot of a text conversation with Miller in which they discussed the possible due date of the child and a doctor visit.
According to police, Miller threw the woman's laptop on the couch and stomped on it. After pulling out some of her hair and throwing her on a couch, he put both hands on her neck. She told police she recorded some of the attack and, when she threatened to call police, he left."
Meanwhile:
"Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay Jr. has been suspended by the league for the team’s next four games for violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.
The suspension is in connection with Gay’s January arrest in Overland Park, Kans., on a misdemeanor charge of criminal property damage of less than $1,000.
According to the charging documents, per KCTV, Gay damaged a number of objects during an argument with his child’s mother, including a vacuum cleaner, a door frame and a wall. The incident was reportedly domestic-violence related. No one was touched during the incident."

no Pacheco this weekend
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Chiefs 2023
That is a big blow.
He's really one of our best players at the moment.
CEH? Yikes.

Re: Chiefs 2023
for an offense seemingly struggling to find targets, it’ll definitely test Mahomie and the offensive schemes

Re: Chiefs 2023
The line moved half a point.
It's now -1.
Basically a pick em.
I got em at -2.5.
Whoopsies.

Everyone is picking the Bills but Gutter.
No Pacheco, Cook, Smith or Tranquill.
Bolton is likely back though.

Hopefully Bolton is %100. Tranquill has done a fine job filling in for him.
Re: Chiefs 2023
How 'bout those Chiefs?
43 minutes ago: An UNEXPECTED update to the Justyn Ross situation! Bolton should play, Pacheco's injury, and more
