I think Kelce is a better TE still.
I would not pick any TE over him for a playoff game.

NE radio up here is delicious.
“Chiefs got lucky” is the general theme of one radio show I listen to.

Was listening to Dan Patrick who I love, but even he doesn't get how good the defenses were. This SB was a knife fight. There was no luck, only toughness.

Purdy is very good. But he’s just going to end up another guy on the wrong side of the overwhelming Super Bowl QB stat, about what happens when a yellow jacket guy goes up against … well, against very good guys.

Purdy is a pretty average guy with great protection.

OG Nick Allegretti, who started in place of Joe Thuney, tore his UCL in his elbow in the 2nd quarter and still played every snap of the game.

Heart of a champion.

There's nothing wrong with being the 8th or 9th best QB in the league.

THIS. It doesn't take a Top 3 QB to make the Super Bowl. You just can't have a bottom 10 QB and do it. SF has a guy on a bare bones contract. Enjoy it while you can. Purdy was definitely not the problem in the SB. SF was a play or two away from winning it all.

They make the XP or the Butker FG tips a finger and the entire outcome could have been different.

A game of inches.

I think the final score might have been different but with Mahomes the odds are pretty good the W-L result would have been the same.

Purdy was fine. He's just isn't much of a threat deep. Mahomes, even with field stretchers just being MVS and Hardman, is, so you have to play him multiple ways. We just said, fuck it, we'll man up on your receivers and not play anyone back, cheating our safeties often. He tested us a couple times but his throws all were bad or our corners ( McCuffie smothering Deebo ) took care of it.

I will say - if he's going to make a jump to the 3rd or even 2nd tier, that floaty medium-deep ball has got to go.

How weird is it now that we live in time where the Chiefs getting to the super bowl is just as regular normal thing. Never thought I'd see this happen.

I distinctly remember coming back from a Lawrence trip in 2018 at the old MCI and watching the Chiefs on a tiny TV. Mahomes was playing the Steelers. It must have been one of his first games ever started.

He shred them for like 350 and 6.

"Ah, OK, so he's like, really really good."

I was a little skeptical when he first appeared, as I thought he might be one of those really gifted athletic quarterbacks but would struggle to do what Montana did. Glad to be wrong.

Also, went to MCI this year and wow it has changed. The restaurants are much better now.

you’re wrong about a lot
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
