If you can work out a trade before hand with Chris Jones to where you know you'll have a suitor in a tag and trade, you have to do that too.

You can't tag Jones and keep all that money frozen so you can't make any moves -- you need to have a deal ready.

I don't think you pay either guy a long term contract ( wouldn't mind tagging Sneed but that would negate the scenario above ) -- you get picks.

Much like the Frank Clark contract, the Chiefs fucked themselves with the Jawaan Taylor contract. I can't even with that.

I don't think you can realistically do anything with Jones other than letting him walk and collecting whatever comp pick(s) come your way. He hasn't played well enough, I wouldn't think, to attract interest in a tag-and-trade. But nor has he played poorly enough to expect to have a shot at retaining him at a number that makes sense.

Sometimes, it's just time.

It's not strictly that time yet with Sneed...but there's enough depth in the secondary, and enough need for both young guys AND cap room, that unfortunately I think you move him under your local squad's battle-tested "better a year early than a year late" approach.

I think Jones is still valued as a top DT.
I think you could get a 2nd and a 3rd for him.
Whatever is better than a low 3rd.

Texans?

I think you'd need another team, too. You need to be able to make a market.

Cardinals will also, I think, have more money than god.

The attacks on Toney were not cool. But cool kids not wanting to be seen as angry at refs came after KT with fangs bared. The receivers are dropping a lot of balls and running bad routes. We need to be mad at Embree.

Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco had surgery on his injured shoulder and will not play in Sunday's game at the New England Patriots.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid called the procedure a cleanup surgery. Pacheco's injured shoulder is the same one on which he underwent surgery during the offseason. Reid said Pacheco had been at the Chiefs' walk-through practices this week and could return to full practice next week.

Pacheco also missed last week's loss to the Buffalo Bills. Before that, he was fifth in the NFL in rushing with 779 yards.

Without Pacheco against the Bills, Clyde Edwards-Helaire rushed for 39 yards and Jerick McKinnon had 19 yards and a touchdown. McKinnon caught three passes for 18 yards, Edwards-Helaire two for 29.

"We love Pacheco and we love his energy, but at the same time, Clyde and McKinnon I thought did a tremendous job in there,'' Reid said. "I don't want to slight any of them because they're playing well, and they all bring energy in their own way."

The Chiefs also ruled out starting left tackle Donovan Smith for the second straight game because of a neck injury. Rookie Wanya Morris, a third-round draft pick, started in his place against the Bills.[/i]

He’s so slow but that was rewarding to see.

Getting Pat out of the pocket should be a priority. I blame Nagy straight up for that

Bad decision by Mahomes. Also looked like our backup LT was limping off the field.

Hold ‘em and get the ball to start second.

Can’t imagine Bill will be that aggressive here.

Let's get this TD drive and make the Patriots play from behind two scores.

That's a bad drop on Kelce. JFC. Maybe it will allow Rice to get a fantasy TD for me...
