Ravens made a lot of dumb mistakes like the above, the helmet to helmet hit on Kelce after the play, the offsides and then personal foul on 1st and 5, smacking Mahomes in the head with a slap/punch and a karate kick trip in the end zone that tripped and hurt Chris Jones but wasn’t called.

One thing to remember about Brett Veach... the money he didn't spend on an elite WR was spent on Charles Omenihu, Drue Tranquill and Mike Edwards, all of whom have been critical pieces that have made big plays to get KC to this Super Bowl.

There is truth to this.
I'd still argue an elite WR would have been a critical piece making big plays to get KC to the Super Bowl.
But if Mahomes and co. can win one more, take a bow Veach, you were somehow right.

I don't think the outcome of one game in two weeks is what makes Veach right or wrong.

The only thing, in my opinion, that would have conclusively been wrong would have been to fail to commit to one path or the other - to do the defensive pieces AND an "elite" WR (which would have, in combination, required salting the earth for future years).

If the Chiefs discounted WR room does their job professionally and only drops an NFL average amount of passes instead of an NFL leading amount of passes then it was a good move.

Andy and co. played this so very well this season.
Kelce was playing at like 80% of his normal snaps this year in hopes he'd be healthy and amped for a post season run.

He is very much that.

I liked the "Did the Chiefs just "yada, yada, yada" the regular season" meme I saw earlier. Kinda feels like they did. KC has absolutely dialed up their intensity and focus this postseason.

Awesome/maddening.

I am hoping that's what the KU CBB team is doing.

Feels like it unfortunately. Also unfortunate is that KU doesn't seem to have a Mahomes-type on their roster who is just better than everyone else when it matters most.

I'm not sure there is a Mahomes type in CBB this year....KM and HD are both likely 1st team AAs.

The fact that Taylor actually has plenty of time to make it to the Super Bowl because her final Tokyo Dome show on The Eras Tour is the previous night AND she’s on the correct side of the international date line to arrive AND be rested is the closest I’ve felt to believing in god

LAST time these two teams matched up in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs winning might have saved a non-trivial amount of lives (a SB parade and associated events would have been in an area where a weird new virus was MUCH more prevalent than it was in Kansas City).

THIS time around the Chiefs simply being in the Super Bowl might be a non-trivial factor in preventing a second Trump presidency.

For a scripted win, Kelce sure had to make incredible plays./s

That was the first game all season that the Chiefs did not drop a single pass.
