I dunno if this had been mentioned, but apparently there was a bit in the NCAA's response bellyaching about how Self wore an Adidas shirt in the promotional video for Late Night, lol

Any idea what that would have to do with the lawsuit?

Probably promised them a cut.

If Zion admits the RFA, I'm sure Silvio will get suspended another year for it.

How many people from how many different angles have implicated Zion?

We’ve got marketing agencies, FBI investigations, pornstar lawyers...

Zion is a no brainer. Of course he got impermissible benefits. Thankfully for duke, so far, nothing involving their staff directly. Which is not a surprise. K doesn't strike me as someone who would be sloppy with those kind of things.

With K, it’s hard to get caught when the rules are different for you.

Not being argumentative (and certainly not in defense of K)...but what makes you feel that way? I feel like the press covers Duke differently, and they've partly earned that....but why do you feel the rules are different for Duke?

He wasn't a devastating recruiter until he started funneling it all through USAB. Different rules for him.

You don't play in the mud that long without getting dirty. 'Cept K. Even Mike Brey is out here saying, "we all have bag men, so what?"

And the dog that barked in the night: why in Hell would you head to an academically challenging school if you intended to go NBA and you had plenty of non-Mayberry RFD alternatives?

I can’t believe that one was shrugged off so quickly.

Dude crapped out on a $70,000 line of credit at a jewelry store, yet the NCAA saw no “threat to the collegiate model”

aaand regarding the latest dook sitch, we all know how this is gonna end, right?

NCAA rules no violation cuz the money Zion got was not actually from dook, but from a Nike goon, and K didn’t know about it.

Maggette was found to be ineligible after the fact for taking money.
Duke not penalized.
