Lots of private schools limit the number of hours you can work often to 10-15 hours. Law students have restrictions from the ABA. There are also gov't approved programs that allow some retail jobs to pay college students less than minimum wage under the guise it's good for them.

Appreciate the info. I had no idea any of those restrictions existed.

For the people who think this is a preview of what to expect, at the least, for KU please remember OSU had a smoking gun in their case. Also that this is an NCAA punishment and not dealt with by the independent panel. Still not a promising sign to see one of the FBI schools go down.

One can only assume he played a role in them getting this ban. If he tries to opt out of his LOI, I would think a lot of schools would stay away from him due to eligibility concerns. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he announces he's going the G League route by the end of the weekend.

I don't think he was the subject of anything at Evans's trial.

And, I'd take him in Lawrence in a heartbeat.

Cooperating with the NCAA is about as smart as a crackhead responding to one of those meth inspection, contact-your-local-police facebook ads.

So, basically punt the football defense and keep the defense team's focus on basketball.

Yes.

I found it interesting, in KU's filing supporting referral to the IARP, to see them articulate an argument that evidence introduced in the FBI criminal trials is being applied here "in the least favorable light" to KU. I think that, along with the ridiculousness of establishing that shoe company employees are "boosters", is a strong argument.

This is public at this point, but little birdies have been telling me KU and KUAC are rapidly bleeding money. More furlough talk.

Would be interesting to know how this particular fight is funded.

I highly doubt KU is funding. All KUAC.

It may have just eaten up a retainer.

KUAC, maybe not so surprisingly, reported they came out in the black for 2019-20.
