I understand your stance PDub. My dad is sorta the same.

...but it's not about what the fans want/like. It is about what is fair/equitable to the players, and how powerful and broad "rules" are allowed to be.

Hopefully in the end the change that's coming ends up being a net gain for both sides.

And rightfully should be punished equally across the entirety of the NCAA.
But that's not happening.

Work with the nba to open the draft to younger players. Expand the G League--get more players to enter who are interested in just the money. Minimize sponsorship and advertising dollars in the NCAA. I'll pay extra to watch the streams. Keep the experience of college athletics.

Wasn't there a kicker/punter a view years ago who made YouTube videos and hit the threshold of subscribers to monetize the channel? NCAA basically told him he had to stop making videos, completely unrelated to football or his school, or he wouldn't be able to play anymore.

But why is your definition of college hoops "guys who don't get paid to play" and not "guys who attend a certain university"? They're still college athletes on college teams representing colleges aren't they?

I do not care at all what the players income level is when I watch them. My parent's taught me that another person's income level is generally not my business.

But when the Supreme Court is issuing unanimous verdicts against the ncaa rules, I think it’s safe to say the tides really are turning.

But this ruling is narrow. It basically says certain ncaa rules aren’t allowed. Is the rule by so narrow though that there really won’t be any substantive changes? Or does this set the stage for more challenges yet? What does this change?

Reminds me of Crimes and Misdemeanors: we prospered. And the shittification was fully on display for some time. But the universe is a dark and indifferent place we can fill with love and enjoyment if we check our attitudes and search for larger meaning.

That's also why I'm a KU fan...I feel a connection. Otherwise I'd just cheer for the team with the coolest uniforms or style of play.

I don't watch AAA baseball, G league, or arena football.
