Memphis IARP decision announced this morning. Should be interesting.

If I remember correctly, the only IARP decision was NC State and they got a scholarship reduction, a vacated record and 1 year probation.

Same decision making body but very different facts. Interesting but will still be confusing for KU fans to decipher.

Memphis gets a $5,000 fine. 3 years of probation and vacating 3 wins which Wiseman competed in.

Guys, the IARP has gone on the lighter end in 2 cases now.

So basically we have the IARP, which has been abolished, handing out slaps on the wrist to enforce rules that have also been abolished.

What a ridiculous world.

Issue is, DeSousa and now Diallo, are linked to our investigation ( Preston, Ayton, Zion didn't play for us ).
Diallo played in 27 games.
DeSousa 66.

Diallo played in 27 games.
DeSousa 66.
The difference being that the issues with Wiseman were discovered prior to him playing (and were committed by the coaching staff that played him) while the issues with Diallo and SDS were discovered after the fact and not committed by the current KU staff.

The IARP said despite having knowledge of Wiseman's ineligibility, Memphis officials allowed him to compete in a game on Nov. 5, 2019, "without informing the head coach until after the contest that [Wiseman] had been determined to be ineligible to play."

Yes, they've collected everything to this point.
