I had not heard this. Where are you seeing it?
Twitter, check out @BarstoolTenn, there was one of a ‘fight’ and one of a lady yelling N***** ass to a UT fan.

Edit: link to Rupp Rafters thread about it: https://kentucky.forums.rivals.com/thre ... pp.318319/
I don't tweeeter, but there are a lot of posts in that rivals thread calling for her to be banned.
No doubt they have some rational/decent fans, but to have fans in your home arena throwing racial slurs is a very bad look.

I agree.
As bad or not as bad of a look as having fans throwing things at and spitting on an opposing team's coach - and allegedly physically assaulting him too?
I'm not asking for myself, I'm asking for my KU friends who were there in 84 and witnessed it happen.

Feel free to elaborate on what you know about the incident rather than asking a group of people who probably weren’t born yet. Clearly that is wrong no matter who did it or when.

Portland - What I know is what I was told and there are plenty of people who attest to it.
Of course the truth is I wasn't there so I can't say I personally witnessed anything.
Billy Tubbs was spit on (I think one of the guys who took pride in doing it has/had the last name Brodie or Booey or something similar - but I could be mistaken) and I know Tubbs had things thrown at him and on him. Many unacceptable things were yelled at him and his players. Granted, he and his team were supposedly cocky snide assholes and they very well may have been the instigators but no doubt it was an extremely shameful moment in Allen Field House history.
Only point of my sharing that is of the 15,000 or so fans who were there, a few bad apples cast not just those 15,000 but also an entire fan base in a poor light.
Kind of like the Kentucky fans you rightfully called out for embarrassing their entire fan base.

I have been with Kentucky fans at several different venues across the country over the past 35 years. As a whole, I find them to be mostly wonderful people but no doubt there were a couple of instances of a FEW Kentucky fans behaving like assholes. Just like my experiences with pretty much fans of all other schools/teams. Most are great but sometimes you come across a few who are not.
I'll say that surprisingly the most obnoxious and disrespectful fans I witnessed were Davidson fans but I chalked that up to them NOT acting like they have been there before - probably because they hadn't been there before.
I have found that when I choose to be respectful to other team's fans I have had nothing but positive interactions with them. I'm happy to say I've met some really good people (including Kentucky fans) through the years that I still keep in touch with.

Good question. I don't recall meeting any Mizzou fans at games but I do have friends that attended Mizzou - and friends who's kids went to Mizzou. Sucks to be them.

On a sad note, seems the virus fear is getting bad to the point where I believe the NCAA is very soon going to have to make some difficult decisions. Not sure if there is a contingency plan but California and Washington state "officials" are starting to suggest people not attend sporting events - if they are not canceled.
Probably too hard for the NCAA to come up with alternate venues/sites at this point and as extreme as this may be, I wouldn't be at all shocked if the tournament is ultimately cancelled. BIG BAG OF SUCKS if that were to happen.

Seton Hall has to beat Creighton to win the BE outright. Have a hard time seeing a 21-8 SH team as a 2 seed though.

Back to Kentucky fan (singular) Ashley Lyles who behaved like an asshole.
Skeptical me feels when someone "yells" the thing that she did in a public setting - her apology was scripted.

“My reaction after the game was unacceptable, period. It was against all values of the University and state of Kentucky. I humbly apologize to the individuals at which my words were directed,” writes Lyles, “My words were hurtful and hateful and have no place in this world. I apologize to the University and state of Kentucky for the embarrassment I have caused. I want my apology not just to be in words, but in actions moving forward.”

There's no reason to believe that statement is anything but her own, true and sincere, words.

At least that's what I was told when Silvio issued his statement, lol.

I see that one first round site for the ncaa men’s D-3 basketball tourney will be played in an empty arena. In Maryland.

There will be a lot more empty arenas for that tournament than one. And it has nothing to do with COVID-19.
