All transfer team
In case anyone is cares. 5 former KU players were playing big minutes on the teams they transferred to. all 5 averaged double figures in scoring. got curious how all these former kansas transfers did this season:
Charlie moore - Depaul wasn't good. finished 15-16 tenth place in their conference. They also have former KU commit Marquese Jacobs. the tiny freshman point guard who played sparingly for them
GP MIN PTS REB AST STL BLK TO FG% FT% 3P%
31 35.5 15.5 3.4 6.0 1.5 0.0 3.5 37.4 80.9 30.8
Sam Cunliffe - Evansville was trash. 9-23 overall. 0-18 for last place in the missouri valley. but somehow beat Kentucky early in the season. UK was ranked #1 at the time
GP MIN PTS REB AST STL BLK TO FG% FT% 3P%
32 26.7 11.2 4.1 1.1 0.5 0.1 1.9 39.0 73.2 30.8
Quentin Grimes - Houston had the best season of any of these. 23-8 overall. tied for 1st place in a good American conference. probably a lock to get at an large bid.
GP MIN PTS REB AST STL BLK TO FG% FT% 3P%
29 27.9 12.0 3.7 2.6 0.8 0.2 2.3 43.8 67.0 32.3
KJ lawson - Tulane was in the same conference as Houston. but took last in the American. 12-18 overall

28 36.1 13.3 5.5 2.1 1.3 0.2 1.7 40.6 71.8 37.2
Carlton Bragg - New mexico went 19-14. Carlton played in about half the season before getting kicked off the team 15 games in. He got arrested for DWI and possesion of marijuana

15 26.9 12.6 10.3 0.7 1.1 1.5 1.6 53.7 81.8 42.9

Damn, Bragg seemed like such a good kid.

LOL! Shades of Lester Earl.

I was more hopeful for Bragg than any of them.
Hated to see him fuck it all away....here or there

I think Charlie Moore made the right decision - not sure how much playing time he was going to get here. Still, has to be disappointing. Didn't DePaul start out 12-1 or something like that? Serious nose-dive for that program.
Re: All transfer team
Charlie Moore is a good example of why efficiency matters.
Sure, he's getting 15 PPG.
He's shooting at 37%, 30%, so he's taking bad shots and wasting possessions.

Re: All transfer team
Sure if you were gonna punt the big 12 tourney.
But why on earth would you do that when there's three games that could be played.

That had escaped my notice. Woof.randylahey wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 7:07 pm Evansville was trash. 9-23 overall. 0-18 for last place in the missouri valley.

They had fired Coach McCarty during season for boning a coed. Been a pretty hot topic with the “how did Kentucky lose to a team that went winless (0-18) in MVC.”
