Pence had already been burned by his response to HIV spread in Indiana. Even through all his other anti-science stances, that might have made him quicker to respond in this case. Or at least not to sound wackadoodle in giving an address to the nation.

Something tells me it's gonna be a long, hot summer for Kelly Loeffler.

But then, Kemp is known to cheat on the balloting and she's his choice.

Just saw a new mitch ad where he's congratulating himself on his bi-partisan, across the aisle work. I double checked, it wasn't an onion piece.

the article says Mitch was super unpopular in KY, until he aligned himself with Trump.

It doesn't say for how long he was unpopular though, cuz he apparently has been reelected over and over.

"the biggest swamp creature of them all" seems befitting.

but dunno whether it was his personality, or the culture of the GOP generally, that ushered in his win-at-all-costs sort of approach. maybe it's chicken and egg.

Ousie, I saw McConnell speak to a group of about 30 Corrections people from around the country, at a conference luncheon when he was a newly elected senator. These were cynical folks and those used to listening to politicians and when McConnell finished everyone just sort of looked at each other with grimaces. The impression one had was what my grandmother would have said, "That man was just born mean."

He was also a very unattractive, creepy looking guy even when young.

yeah, but the article also says coal barely employs 5000 people statewide any more.

but even then, who knows how many people vote coal just cuz it spites the environmentalists.
