I did laugh at an article, or tweet, Newell a few days ago. Mentioned Italy trip. Said before they left, Self said they were excited to play some ball, be loose and get to know the team. Minutes into the first game he got a T from a ref who didn't speak much English.

Self's competitive juices flow too high. I do think he'll play Dotson, Udoka and Garrett in all games, but maybe for 22-27 minutes instead of 35-40.

As long as Portland still views and posts on other "social" sites (such as this one) isn't that kind of like saying he gave up Coke, Sprite, Pepsi, and Sierra Mist for lent but he's still going to drink Dr. Pepper?
And I thought people weren't supposed to enjoy what they give up for lent. Isn't that kind of the purpose?
