KJ shooting 6 times from 3pt land is too much. He doesn't need to settle for that many 3s.

Ochai is gonna be good.
KJ will not crack the lineup.

OA will be very good for us. We have too much depth this year though. He will likely redshirt. Probably be our only scholarshipped redshirt.

That is partly by design. Self said we're not brining out too much stuff prior to game 1 so that there isn't tape on our stuff.
If Self did indeed say this, and I'm a bit doubtful, it's just smoke. Doesn't matter how much Michigan State knows about us or how they've scouted us. It always comes down to in-game adjustments. Always does.

Watch his 5 minute press conference after the Emporia state game if you think I made it up.

We haven't hardly run any set plays to get easy baskets.

I agree it comes down to in game adjustments, but that's not what we are talking about. "Set up plays" were the topic, which it was pretty obvious to see we weren't running. Like at all.

We typically haven't run much stuff in these exhibition games. That said, I don't think Izzo will see a lot Tuesday that really surprises him.

Agree on both. Exhibitions are purely to get the jitters out and give the coaches something to yell "see, I told you" about in film sessions. There is nothing to be learned from them by fans other than what the new players look like.

As in, literally what they look like and what numbers we need to get used to!

Exactly. Took me 30 minutes of game time last night before I knew who #30 in white was.

Thats what I meant. Lots of new faces and names to get used to this year. That and a general view of whether we have a functional amount of talent is all I take from exhibition games.

Tuesday will be a fascinating day all around.

Tuesday will be 4 big time programs coming together to play some sloppy basketball.

Gotta start somewhere.

Really ugly. Wasn't it in the 60's?
