Re: NCAA 19-20
Interesting how "reimbursement" wasn't mentioned in any of the 3 articles I read on the topic. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the NCAA says too bad, it's our money now.
Re: NCAA 19-20
The lack of fans hurts KU imo.

If Mizzou wins the SEC tournament and sneaks in, look out. They have prepared for this for years.

Nah, these events are usually insured. People will get their money back.
Re: NCAA 19-20
Amazing, will be an interesting event. What a time to be alive. Probably the right decision.
Just Ledoux it

I would attend the JuCo tournament in Hutch every year as a kid.
Always got a kick out of hte day games when 40 people max were there and the benches had to do the "defense" cheers, etc. like in little league.
Teahan, Jank, Mitch, you're up!

Re: NCAA 19-20
That always makes the entire tournament in Hutch when the teams from Florida were doing their own chants at the direction of the coaches to give some encouragement because NOBODY was cheering for them.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 4:01 pm I would attend the JuCo tournament in Hutch every year as a kid.

Re: NCAA 19-20
Yep ultimately correct. Although they did say they will keep looking at options in future. Could future be 3 weeks from now and fans in Atlanta for Final 4?

Do the Crimson Girls or KU Cheer get included in institutional allotment? How about KU Drummer and the band geeks? March is big deal for them, and could really be their time to shine.
I am, I said.
Re: NCAA 19-20
Empty arenas hurt all. And help none. But it was inevitable. So I am glad they got it over with.
Now they can all prepare.

Re: NCAA 19-20
I agree it is probably the right decision.
Otherwise, my opinion is it will be a horse shit event and it's a shitty time to be alive.
KU doesn't win the Championship - will be the worst NCAA tournament in my lifetime.

KU Drummer is certainly essential.Soklous wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 4:04 pmCrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 4:01 pm I would attend the JuCo tournament in Hutch every year as a kid.

Re: NCAA 19-20
If we are all honest and take off the meathead sports fan hat, it's hard to criticize the NCAA for this. Sports leagues all around the world, in countries with less of a spread of the disease than the US (we're on the verge of becoming thee hotbed) are making reasonable tough decisions which include outright cancellations.
NCAA keeps the games, airs them for the fans, and makes a reasonable effort to do its part in limiting the spread. They make the decision more than a week in advance and (hopefully) a final one. Let's play ball.
