I know what the right decision probably is, but I really want to win that natty.
Gobert had to go out and be a douche, touching all the microphones, and cancel the NBA season.

See pDub, this is why you don't fuck around with the Rona.

I am 100% confident that the NCAA tournament will be shut down by end of day.

And it should at this point. Over reaction or not.

This is the best news I've seen this week.
I assume you're kidding. Right?
First off, Bovada odds don't really mean shit in terms of what will or won't happen. I may be giving you too much credit but I figure you know how odds on futures work.
Second, go ahead and try and find those odds on Bovada right now. When you're done, try and find them on a different site and then tell me what the odds are.
Third, if I am not mistaken, aren't you the guy/girl who said, "it's just sports"?
So... "It's really the best news I've (you've) seen this week"?

Stolen from reddit. I'd substitute Mizzou, but that's just me.

Cancel conference tourneys. 2 week quarantine for all coaches and athletes. Test everyone who is in the tourney and bubble teams. Start the tourney April 9th.

Call the NCAA directly. Now.

His statement was, "Please let it be known I would never do anything that would put my team, family, or anyone else in harm's way".
He claims he was checked out by a "tournament doctor" prior to the game. That doctor "cleared" him?
Seems he was diagnosed with the flu by someone.
Ok, so he may not have "the virus" but the flu is contagious. "Please let it be known I would never do anything that would put my team, family, or anyone else in harm's way". Coaching with the flu puts his team and "anyone else" in "harm's" way.
Either Fred or the doctor who cleared him (both?) need to wisen up.

I tend to think that, once you take fans out of the equation, the public health risk isn't materially higher playing the games versus not playing them. And people need shit to do. Stadium workers and production crews need work. People staying home with their kids (COUGH [but not a covid cough] ME) need basketball to watch.

Agree they are important, but I think he meant for his comma to be a typo.

You beat me to it. I think DC is a Fred fan (as am I) so my guess is he intended it to be a sympathetic post.

Yeah. That's my feeling. Take fans out of equation, and I think players would be safer than being in general public back at home or whatever.

But, and I think I said this further back, people look at sports as a reprieve from life. It gives them a break from reality. It helped in big instances like 9/11, it helped with smaller instances like Kobe's sudden death. Sports are a way for people to escape reality as much as they can. I know it won't completely happen with a mostly empty crowd because the reality will be so stark, but it will help life become as normal as possible.

But yeah, I have Thursday and Friday off of work. So let's play ball.

We are about 2 weeks behind Italy in the cycle of this virus. Right now. Italy doesnt look ready to host a major sporting event between 68 teams and hundreds of players, coaches and staff starting in 10 different cities. They are completely shut down as a nation.

In 2 weeks, I expect our country to look like what Italy looks like right now. Push it off 6 weeks and maybe it still happens.
