Yeah. I don’t think they’ll not play the tournament. It’s going to be delayed. Probably completely ok to play it in April or May. Kids will still be “in school.”

I wonder how much leeway the NCAA has on the tourney. For example, the Olympics, by its bylaws, it must be played in the 2020 calendar year, otherwise it cannot happen. The bylaws should be able to be changed, but who the hell knows nowadays.

I think a truncated tourney will satisfy everyone. 32 team single site, two courts, only team and staff would satisfy all.

Day 1 & 2 16 teams, 8 games each day
Day 3 & 4 8 teams, 4 games each day
Day 5 & 6 4 teams, 2 games a day
Day 8 Semi (4 teams, 2 games)
Day 9 or 10 Finals

Like I'm sure everyone else - I'm sincerely very upset that the virus has had such a strong impact and the strong possibility that the NCAA Tournament may be canceled. It's one of the highlights of the year for me. It's depressing.

I would say if the NBA was continuing as normal, there wouldn't be a chance...but because it's delayed, then the draft will be delayed, so it's possible it is suspended.

It will have to be a different format though unless they intend on starting the conference tournaments back up.
