This is fun watching these old games. Remembering old names, etc. Am I seeing things or, are these 07 teams all better then the current teams?

I've been re-watching the 2008 tournament, have seen Villanova through UNC. Man, that team could guard, was fast, and could score. Really amazing seeing what a Bill Self offense can look like with 2 bigs that can play together.

Sheron looks better then Dot. Especially going left.

I forgot how good Julian was.
Makes me sad that CJ was a turd of a human being.

Julian was ahead of his time. A stretch 4 in a game that still played 2 bigs. He'd be a dream for Self if he came just a decade later.

I'd agree he would ahead of his time in the point-forward category, but to call him a stretch 4 is a bit of an exaggeration. Isn't the "stretch" part being the fact the defense would have to come out and guard him. He couldn't shoot a lick, so that kind of eliminates the stretch part of being a stretch 4, lol.

It’s amazing that Graham, Mason, and Selden didn’t win a Natty.

Graham fouled ( reach in - ESPECIALLY if these previous 3 were 'fouls' ) and then that's a lose ball on the floor.

Also, those fouls likely would have led to fast breaks with a very very good chance at 6 points.
In a low scoring 2 point game with 50 seconds left, 6 points would have made a difference.

I missed that game. My daughter got married that day. I said something to my son in law that the scheduling for him was no problem as it was very unlikely statie would be playing that late in the year.

Watching the Texas v aTm game from 2007, weird seeing Snacks in Billy G's aTm huddle. Weirdest part is he hasn't changed a bit.
