I've been cooped up in Chez 99 for a week and a half. National Parks are open, Great Smokey Mountains are 3 hours away. I'm thinking on hitting the road about 5am for some hiking.

People who schedule 7:30am meeting on Monday mornings should be called relentlessly on their days off.

The timing is to accommodate the people many timezones away. But yea, I get it.

But, you're in the most eastern time zone. Hope you don't have an LA office.

I did a shit ton of yard work last week and over the weekend.

Wife and I spent a lot of money on new bushes and shit like that. Built an underground tunnel for water run off from our gutters/drains.

I’ve taken 6 am (Pacific) calls/meetings- typically with India, involving UK and EU colleagues. If they are not needed then I do 8 or 9 pm for India, China and Japan. Get home, get dinner and then take the call. Sometimes the 6 am call happened on Monday and I seriously doubt that I was very productive!

Not really work related but I was flipping through channels and came across the European Tram driving championships program. This was originally broadcast on something called ESPN 8 (the Ocho). Having traveled quite a bit in Europe, and that too using public transportation, it was a chance to see the usually-surly team drivers in a cheerful mood.

Now I’ve really seen everything, including “tram bowling” 😂😂😂😂

I've got a project right now with Singapore, Dubai, Poland and Miami decisionmakers. Ugh.

I did pretty good last week working from home, but today, not sure, but this is going to be tough. Just the fvcking isolation. And this until the end of April? That's like 5 more weeks. Maybe it's the weather as well, but I'm already starting to feel the edge.

I've been going nutz. Thursday is supposed to be 70 and sunny.
I'm wondering if I can take a vacation day and National or State Park and do some hiking.

Read your jurisdiction's lockdown order. If you're good to go under that and social distance, sounds like a good time to go as national parks have waived all entrance fees temporarily.
