Dumbfuck in charge
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Hillary has the same issues as Ivanka. "Happened to be family" to a president should probably be disqualifying. Trump was pretty terrifying and she still had enough negatives to bring us to this point. If she had won, there still would have been hatred gridlock. I wish she would confine herself to objectively helping now as ex-candidate. Gore for instance.

Excellent question HD!HouseDivided wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 2:54 pmWhat difference, at this point, does it make?Grandma wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 2:34 pmI can only speak for myself but my guess is others would agree that she's hardly "celebrating".
She's been rightfully bashing him in regards to his handling of the crisis.
Is it petty? Perhaps but she's probably pretty damn ticked off- as are a hell of a lot other people in this country.
We can't go back but the entire country should be "owning" Trump right now for his mishandling since day 1.
Going forward, if he were to dare act like a decent human, admitted he's made some mistakes, showed genuine remorse, and projected that he truly gives a shit about the country (other than the economy) as much as he cares about himself and his ego - maybe he would get more of the love and admiration he so desperately seeks.
Hillary was worthy of my vote in 2016 and Trump will NEVER be worthy of my vote in 2020. Fuck him!
One I can't really answer. I'm just a bitter old man.
Maybe someone who understands the meaning of life and who has God in their life is better suited to answer it?

I don’t know a lot, but I do know that it is human nature to look for someone to blame and be angry at when things go wrong in life. It makes us feel better to be angry at a person rather than a set of circumstances. I don’t blame you for being scared and angry. I just hope you won’t give in to despair and hopelessness. You’re better than that.Grandma wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 3:03 pmExcellent question HD!HouseDivided wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 2:54 pmWhat difference, at this point, does it make?Grandma wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 2:34 pm

It's the same snarkiness that caused Obama’s sarcastic ”you're likeable enough" comment.twocoach wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 2:41 pmHillary is not in a position of leadership right now. To a lesser degree, you’re probably right. There are way too many things I'd like to copy and paste from Albom's article, (the last link). It is spot, on!

I have not seen anything out of line from the Governor of Michigan at all. She has continually stood up for the people of her state, as is her job.
Trump on the other hand, has continually let it be known that he only serves those in our nation who says nice things about him. Pay him a compliment or pay with your health and possibly your life. I am tired of so much winning.

Michigan has not yet requested a major disaster declaration for the coronavirus, a spokesman for the Federal Emergency Management Agency said Wednesday.
The administration of President Donald Trump has already declared major disasters for Texas, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, New York, California and Washington, officials confirmed.
But for Michigan, where the number of confirmed cases topped 2,200 Wednesday, with at least 43 deaths, "FEMA has not yet received a request for a major disaster declaration," spokesman Michael Hart said.
Tiffany Brown, a spokeswoman for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, said Wednesday morning that state officials were "reviewing and looking into" a request to FEMA. By Wednesday afternoon, after the Free Press published a story on the issue, Brown said officials were "working urgently" on a disaster request. She did not immediately respond to a question about why the request was not completed sooner....
Whitmer has repeatedly called on Trump to declare a national disaster in connection with the pandemic and did obtain a limited disaster designation for the purposes of accessing federal small business loans. That designation is separate from a major disaster declaration for a stand does not come through FEMA, officials said.
Shorter version: She was bitching at Trump for dragging his heels, when the state hadn't done its part yet.
