In a span of two hours in a freak accident i had a not fully split log crush my thumb and two fingers ( probably going to loose my thumbnail ) and had to murder a mouse my cat didn't quite finish off.

What a night.
Sorry to hear this. Do you have blood collecting under your nail?

Have I talked about the time I split wood barefoot before work? Just a PSA to NOT do that.

Sounds rough. I'm sorry.
Lots of folks haven't had a crush fracture on a digit, which sucks, or taken as many lives of God's other creatures, which sucks, as they prop up.
I’ve killed mice before in traps.
This one was my mistake for making it worse than it should have.
Thought it was dead from the cat, some of its guts were out, and I poked it to be sure and no movement. So then to clean it I poured bleach on it but it turns out it wasn’t dead so had to rush to find something to crush its skull. With one hand.

Sorry to hear that Gutter. Fortunately, even if it is COVID-19, it appears that the majority of cases are mild. Have you considered moving to South Korea where you could get a test and answer the ? of whether it's COVID-19 or not? If it were me, (unless Chicago is an exception and you actually could get a test without much friction), as long as your symptoms are mild I'd just hunker down and monitor myself by taking my temp regularly and watching for any signs of shortness of breath. It would also be a good idea to let someone know how you're feeling, so they can check in on you by text, etc., until you're feeling better. If you do have to go out, you definitely should wear a mask, even if it's one you fashion yourself.
Hope you get to feeling better soon and this is just a run of the mill URI. Keep us updated on how you're doing.

Thanks Feral!
I like to think I don't have it but I am assuming I do for my and other's well being.
Blows me away that I might as well live in Tristan da Cunha when it comes to finding and purchasing medical supplies. My sister sent me masks and gloves which I am wearing religiously when I leave my apartment - even to throw out garbage.
Whatever I do (or don't) have, I'm not feeling horrible by any means but I'm far from feeling great.
To get any dead parts/guts/hantavirus clean, I generally just clean dead mice and the area around with a mixture of bleach and water if it's in a basement.
This also prevents the cat from sticking around that spot - maybe licking up guts etc.
Welp.
Helluva 18 hours.
KU looses big time.
Next morning my boss explains how he wants for us to part ways. Have to write up a severance negotiation tonight.
