I think you misunderstood my intentions of the post. I live here now, I’m mostly concerned with our re-opening. I’m sensing that cabin fever and unemployment numbers are influencing people’s belief on where we’re at on the curve.

I also have concerns that “reopening” is being influenced heavily by things other than whether the virus is at bay.

To be fair we also had substantially more warning about the outbreak than Italy and the UK (but not Spain or France) - we should not take comfort in “we’re not worse”. We should have been better.

I looked at a graph in which I can see for the last 25 days we have had roughly 30,000 new confirmed cases daily - and felt the need to mock Jared fucking asshole Kushner for saying, "This is a great success story".
Your "comeback" was to provide a graph showing that we don't lead the world in deaths per million people. Ok, and?
Like you, I can also go to ourworldindata.org. You don't think I can find charts to provide on here that support my feeling/s that this has not been such a "great success story"?

After steadily trending downward, the number of new cases of COVID-19 in the US has increased each of the last 3 days.

And, not one of the 50 states has met the White House Guideline for re-opening, that stipulates a decrease in new infections for the last 14 days before doing so.
