My presumption is that Biden is guilty.
And it's true. trump is an existential threat to our country because you elected the petty unstable sociopathic TV personality to piss off the libs and because "maybe he won't be so bad" and now he plays croquet on the front lawn of the White House with the nuclear football, footsy in the Oval Office with Putin and sends supportive tweets to secessionists and white supremacists and antivax nutjobs and creates general chaos whenever he touches anything including the economy. Meanwhile Joe Biden is also another creepy douchebag who gets away with stuff cuz he has money and political power. So, apples and apples.
And now you know, trump can be that bad.
And you continue to support trump because he is an R and because sOcIaLism. And I will vote for Biden because he isn't the antichrist and I would welcome anyone short of that from either party who can remove the crazy shitstain trump from office.
But I mostly hate trump because he is orange, so there's that.
And after Biden is elected if you wanna impeach him, I will not cry that it is a "political act" and complain about how unfair it is. And if you wanna lock Bill Clinton up, that's good too. I think it will be an act of justice and will be happy with that. And trump would still no longer a threat to our country. win/win?
And if trump is reelected, I get my tax cuts and you get dick. Wait, you will "own" the libs for 4 more years.
There really is no difference between our positions, it's all partisan. You will support and make excuses for any Republican who petulantly tries to destroy everything in his path for self aggrandizement and I will vote for any Democrat who does not.
Trump was a cry of desperation, an acknowledgement on the part of a plurality of voters that the last 40-50 years of politics as usual was an abject failure and that something had to be done. Like your pledge chairman Eric Stratton, the American electorate decided that a really futile and stupid gesture had to be done on somebody's part. So...they did it.
The good news is that there is a way to remedy what was done. The bad news is that it puts back to precisely the point we were at when the electorate decided to elect Trump but exacerbates it by putting into office a guy who has been in Washington for the ENTIRE 40-50 years of politics as usual.
I'm not sure why he wants to be president, but, if he wins, I wish him luck.
Or electing Trump was the last gasp effort to find someone to stave off all the losing. Politics has become a team sport for many and no one likes to play on five different losing teams at once.
White? Your team is "losing" as neighborhoods and businesses become more integrated all over the country and people tell you to be OK with it. No one likes being told what to be OK with.
Churchgoers? Your team is "losing" as fewer and fewer choose to believe and more people want the Bible removed as the basis of legislation.
High school educated? Your team is "losing" as fewer and fewer people can begin decent careers without college degrees or advanced intellectual training.
Gun owner? Your team is "losing" as the percentage of households that own guns shrinks and more weapons are looked at unfavorably.
Rural? Your team is "losing" as fewer and fewer people choose to live in rural communities.
Trump just feels like a desperate attempt to get a win with the hopes that he would get five wins by getting rid of the brown people, promoting church, protecting guns while scoring some new jobs for small town America. All whole happily telling the Dems the folks who are losing blame for all their L's to go fuck themselves.
Grifters and con men have been taking advantage of desperate people since the dawn of time. This one was shockingly easy to pull off.
