I'm curious, when and where have you seen a television field reporter reporting out in the field about COVID-19/Coronavirus with not another human being anywhere to be seen?
Even if you have, as Geezer stated, there is a damn good chance there is/was a camera person nearby.

If you feel the reasoning behind a reporter wearing a mask is to keep "simpletons hysterical", I sincerely feel bad for you. Worse than I feel for the hysterical simpletons.

Renewed outbreaks in South Korea, Germany and China show continued risk as more countries seek to reopen

South Korea was among the first places to deal with a major coronavirus epidemic, and seemed to be on track to loosen restrictions, after weeks of social distancing measures and careful surveillance. But the new cluster seems to have put an end to that, for now, with Moon warning his people "we must never lower our guard regarding epidemic prevention." ...The country announced its highest number of new coronavirus cases for more than a month on Monday.

China too, is introducing renewed restrictions after two cities reported new cases of the virus. Shulan, in Jilin province in the country's far northeast, has been put under lockdown, following 11 newly confirmed cases. Jilin borders both Russia and North Korea, and concerns have previously been raised over imported cases from overseas causing a renewed outbreak.

More alarming are the new cluster of infections in Wuhan, the central Chinese city where cases of the novel coronavirus were first detected late last year. Wuhan was the first city in the world to enter into lockdown, only returning to relative normality late last month after 76-days.

On Monday, city officials said five new cases had been confirmed in the city, none of which were imported from overseas. While that is a far cry from the figures at the beginning of the crisis, or those being reported daily across much of western Europe and the United States right now, the apparent ability of the virus to continue spreading undetected -- especially in a city as intensely surveilled and restricted as Wuhan -- will lead to concerns about the viability of reopening.

...Elsewhere in Europe, Germany had also been held up as an example of how to handle an outbreak, but its reproduction number has increased to above one for the past two days in a row, according to its center for disease control, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). This means that one infected person is on average infecting more than one other person.

It was seen as a regional success story thanks to a well-resourced health system and early mass testing. The country's reproduction number was estimated to have fallen to 0.65 last Thursday, and it had begun a slow reopening. Chancellor Angela Merkel told the public last week that they could "afford a bit of courage," while cautioning that "we have to watch that this thing does not slip out of our hands."

Perhaps it would be helpful to not be so resolutely willing to just say, "Let them all die" and to let the CDC promulgate safety guidelines and to just accept that business owners that haven't lived off huge inheritances and haven't been Oppositional Defiant for their entire lives would like to reopen in safe ways. Maybe those business owners are quicker to pick up on their customer's interests than someone who went bankrupt running casinos.

I have a couple of hairdressers--one who is quite expensive and it's tough to get an appointment. But, that salon sent me a list of all the things they're doing, like wash your own hair at home, wait in your car until they text you, put a smock over your own clothes at the door, no magazines, no beverages provided, and a list of all the things they do to sanitize their equipment after hours. I will probably go back there. Taking my dogs for a walk in the state park yesterday, we drove along the 2 lane road where most local restaurants are and have reopened. Since it's Florida, some already had outdoor spaces with tables. Yesterday they had lots more and those without an existing outdoor space had set up tents with new tables. Even the high end restaurants have tasteful outdoor seating.

My experience in life is that women do a lot of the shopping for all kinds of items. Do they really think that women will go back to stores that don't seem safe because Donald Trump orders them to and Mike Pence prays them to.......and retail is what % of our economy?

And that’s what it really boils down to, isn’t it? They are people that you feel superior to as human beings. They are beneath you; they elected a President you despise; they watch TV shows and listen to music you dislike; they go to churches you disagree with, and they carry firearms. Hence, they are the problem and must be controlled so that they will conform to your standards.

It’s exactly like the Founding Fathers wrote it in the Declaration of Independence, right?

RIGHT! Because everyone on here is saying people should/need to confine themselves to their homes.
What is PARTIALLY Trump's fault is people having a "fuck you attitude" in regards to safety and well being of others. I know, you don't have a problem with it. I do, and I feel anyone with a moral conscious should.
On a related side note, I'm not a religious guy but those who are and don't give a fuck about infecting others seem to be major hypocrites to me. "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself".

And that’s what it really boils down to, isn’t it? They are people that you feel superior to as human beings.
