Feds give NCAA go-ahead to begin investigations
Not sure if this has been discussed yet today. Dropped last night, apparently.

Good. Get on with it. It was just a matter of time anyways.

That would suggest to me that there aren't a lot of big bombshells yet to come, at least not ones relating to KU. We can always hope!

Read that report. KU wasn’t mentioned. I was relieved.

So....the ncaa is going to re-investigate stuff they have been unable and unmotivated to actually prevent for close to 30 years or more? LOL this shouldn't take long...
This sucks so bad for the schools that really are just collateral damage to the FBI trials. The ncaa is just going to use that evidence we have already seen, because they clearly can't gather evidence as well on their own, and then every school who also does this but was lucky enough not to be implicated in the trials will be fine, and we will be at risk. Unlucky for us that it was Adidas and Gasnolla who the fbi randomly decided to go after.

There obviously are others we haven't heard from yet. Aren't there 2 more trials scheduled?

I'm a little confused where you're coming up with this.Lonestarjayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 7:18 am Two more trials...the next trial the big name school is Kentucky.
The next trial deals with asst coaches steering players to specific financial advisors I thought? No coaches from Kentucky (or duke, or UNC) were arrested as far as I know.
The pay for play trials are done I thought?
Maybe I'm all confused....hard to keep this stuff straight at this point.

In the article you linked it indicated Dawkins was found guilty last month.
So, is he on trial again for something else?
I see it mentions UK, but apparently only is his "business plan".....not sure that's going to be viewed similar as texts and phone calls that involved our staff?....either way, UK got little to no heat during the Dawkins trial (maybe there is another than I have no clue about), so expecting anything to come to UK because of Dawkins seems unlikely...and as far as I know there are no Nike employees who have been indicted? Don't see anything happening to UK Duke or UNC for any of the stuff released so far that I've seen.
