Plano Family Epic Road Trip

Post by Deleted User 62 »

So, we sold our Palm Springs home.
Made out pretty good on it.

The family and I are taking 2 weeks to drive out the Route 66 trail....2 cars. (The teenage boys are going on to LA to hang out with a friend they went to HS with.

Going to be a really fun 2 weeks.
Pink Jeep tour of Sedona....boat rental on the Colorado River...rental Raz'rs in Ocotillo Wells....fishing trip in Baja.

After a solid month of insane sales of boats...Plano needs a break!

Cool. What’s the distancing situation enroute? I guess boating on the Colorado is quite isolated

Wow. Congratulations on the sale of your house.

Very envious of the trip you're embarking on. Keep us posted.

let me know when you'll be on the Colorado River, and I'll refrain from pissing in its headwaters that week.

We used to take route 66 to LA almost every year in the 60s. Super cool. Sounds like a great trip.

Sedona is out of this world beautiful. Took the pink Jeep tour. Fun.

Spent 5 days in Sedona. I cannot wait to go back.

My oldest kid has a sports tournament in Texas in...three weekends from now. Don't know how I feel about dealing with airports, etc., by then. But I DO know how I feel about two eight-hour drives in a three-day span.

I could use a roadtrip. Ashville, Gatlinburg, Nashville are all within a few hours drive. Cincinnati and Louisville are each an hour away.

I'm told Red River Gorge is open for hiking.

I don't want to speak for TDub, but I think his point is that road trips and kids staying with friends in CA would be the type of behavior that would get many on this board shitting themselves in circles if they were done by guys with bushy beards and cargo pants rather than one of our own.

Are they armed and going to the statehouse?

BTW Wisconsin has a Covid spike 2 weeks after the right wing supreme court opened up the state.
