Re: Sandwiches
I like mushrooms.
I don't like them as the main part of a meal ( i.e. the 'meat' in the sandwich ).

I mean, she's smelled him before.

Re: Sandwiches
I like a good muffuletta. I like a good Cuban.
Re: Sandwiches
As spoken to earlier in this thread, if you aren't buying bread fresh from a baker, I highly recommend Dave's Killer bread.
Spend the extra dollar or two - it'll make your sandwiches that much better.

^^^
Once I moved away from KC and couldn't get Farm to Market bread I changed to Dave's, and it's pretty good.

Re: Sandwiches
I'd like one on Leidenheimer French Bread, dressed--lettuce, tomato, pickle, and sorry Lea, mayo, but it would be about a 5 hour drive to get one.Grandma wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 6:58 pm Said this as soon as Potbelly's became known.
Potbelly's is a Yellow Sub wannabe - Just as Krispy Kreme is a Joe's (donuts) Bakery wannabe.
Anyways, my worthless opinion is the best sandwich is an ice cream sandwich.
Or a GOOD meatball sandwich. Can't pinpoint the best one I have had.
The worst meatball sandwich I have ever had was about two weeks ago from Buona Beef. Vile!
Don't inject Lysol.
Re: Sandwiches
I have made decisions on whether I'll return to a new restaurant for a second time based entirely on how good their reuben sandwich is. If they can't make a good reuben then I don't need to try anything else they offer.
Re: Sandwiches
And if they've got a good reuben then I probably won't try much else anyway.
Re: Sandwiches
I love a good reuben. Pumpernickle, not "marble rye" what ever that is. Russian dressing. Of course kraut, corned beef and swiss.
I had one out of a little bodega in NYC, served open face. Great sammich and enough for two meals.
