The issue I have is that the vast majority of the "batshitcrazy looney left" stuff is either completely fabricated, grossly misrepresented or if true, is being incorrectly applied to everyone who is not a Republican. And then it is compounded by the messages of the batshitcrazy right being dressed up in smoothly edited videos and easily passed along images and shared via Facebook by regular conservatives, who prior to this con, I considered not to be the "batshitcrazy radical right".
Trump has weaponized people of faith. Not just churchgoers but all people who are willing to believe what they believe based only on the hope that it is true without evidence supporting it. He has convinced them that the providers of clear evidence that proves what they believe is not the case cannot be trusted and that only he can be trusted as the source of truth despite the mountain of evidence over decades that easily prove how absurd that is.
People WANT to believe they are right. People WANT to believe they aren't being used as pawns. Every time Trump opens his mouth to accuse someone of something, it is basically an admission of what he himself has done or is doing. It is mind boggling what has happened to this country. Donald Freaking Trump is our President, people. WTF?!? Are you kidding me?
