Fuck expelling him. I hope they let him stay on campus - and I get to see how well it works out for him.
Ok, forgetting me. Can't/won't KSU use the safety and well being of him and other students as a defense if they were to expel him?

I hope they wouldn't. That's the beauty of free speech. I'd love to see him stay and get the perfectly legal verbal harassment he deserves for the comments that he has the liberty to make.

In real life I’m normally a non-confrontational guy. But lately, I’ve really wanted to call some folks out about masks and shit.

For instance, I was just at the store shopping for deli cold cuts. While I’m standing there, this big fat maskless tourist comes up right next to me, says “oh look y’all they got honey ham!”, then reaches over and across my personal space to grab it.

I soo wanted to say something about social distancing, and/or a mask, or just something, but I instead just walked away.

I did this cuz 1. my main end game was social distancing either way, and 2. just cuz I‘m just not sure there’s anything I could say that’ll change ol’ honey ham’s mind at this point.

Even if I tried to be as polite and constructive as possible, confronting him is prob only gonna make him dig his heels in further about the issue...right?

Colorado should be pulling over out of state tags coming Into colorado to Make sure they aren’t bringing in a bunch of covid having folks, like their states do (or did) to colorado plates to try to slow the influx of devils lettuce.

How’d you know half the license plates in the grocery store parking lot right now are from Texas?

Their state shutting down again only made them more eager to come here.

I also had a convo with the landlord, who came up this weekend.

“Yeah we came up here cuz Boulder is a hot spot all of a sudden, and they’re saying numbers there are prob 10x worse than reported...anywho ousdahl do you know which restaurants and bars are open up here? We wanna go hang downtown cuz we’re just that oblivious...”

I told him if he wants recommendations then refer to the top 3 in your city thread.

Right. I get the frustration.
I'm at a crosswalk today and two guys with masks pulled below their chins are chatting away. I'm about 4-5-6 feet away. Guy turns his head to the right (my direction) and coughs without covering his mouth.
I say loud enough for him to hear - "Are you fucking kidding me - you couldn't cover your mouth when you coughed"? Guy didn't look over. I was about to get in his face and confront him but then thought - what good would that do either of us?
About 15 minutes later. I'm sitting on a bench. Usually enough room for 3 people on the bench if they are all friends/family members and have no problem sitting within a foot or two of each other. Guy and assumed wife decide to sit on the bench next to me. They aren't wearing masks and didn't ask me if it's ok. I got up and walked away shaking my head.
Every day I see people enter restaurants, buildings, stores where masks are clearly "required" and they don't give a fuck. "Rules" just don't apply to them.

I'm not a mask freak. I don't wear one walking on the street (I would say more than 50% of the people in my neighborhood do) and I don't wear one if I am not within 6-8-10 feet of someone else.
It just blows my mind that people have zero respect for others - and if they were smart they would realize they are not respecting themself.

I’m casing places up there right now.

And by giving landlord your top 3, is t he going to know to go to the locals side of your fav place?

WTF? She's holding a freaking mask in her hand. Usually I am sympathetic when people are nuts.
Clearly some of the Karen's are truly "mentally ill" and I don't like that they get exposed in such a negative light because of their being "mentally ill".
In this case, I'm not buying it that this woman is anything other than just plain a bitch.

I always recommend the saloon side at the crooked creek.

But knowing my landlord, he’ll probably pull a TDub and still go to the tj countertop side.

They should make Karen pay for that as they escort her out the door.

Trumpites on COVID: "Americans shouldn't look out for those who are more vulnerable. Americans should be free to make their own decisions on their medical situation. The government should not interfere in our medical decisions and impose the moral code of others onto us."

Trumpites on abortion: "Americans should look out for those who are more vulnerable. Women shouldn't be free to make their own decisions on their medical situation. The government should interfere in their medical decisions and impose our moral codes on others."

The problem with that joke is that it can easily be edited in favor of the “trumpites”. Replace with “libs” and switch a few words.

Your joke reversed.

"Libs" on COVID: "Americans should look out for those who are more vulnerable. Americans shouldn't be free to make their own decisions on their medical situation. The government should interfere in our medical decisions and impose our moral codes on others."
