Re: Top 3 in your city
A year or two back they renovated the outside to look less no-frillsy. It’s crazy how much new money is being pumped into the valley right now. I’m torn between trying to capitalize as it grows, or trying to gtfo before they finally give in and rename the place North Texas.
Here’s the creek back in the day, with Rosie still prominently on the exterior wall. Now she’s gotta hide in the corner of the patio.

Re: Top 3 in your city
I think the designers of that logo really missed something by not rotating parts or all of 'Crooked" or "Creek" or both.
Re: Top 3 in your city
I forgot how pissed off Rosie’s expression is, and still wonder how she keeps that figure after all those beers and wings.
Re: Top 3 in your city
You’re in the Valley? Like Del Norte?
Re: Top 3 in your city
In the SLV....sadly none in my town yet but these are only 10 minutes away.
https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_ ... orado.html try the tortas, the pork is my favorite but the chicken is great as well, Defixione will back this recommendation up.
https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_ ... orado.html you come for the breakfast but Leawood stays for the ruddy freshly scrubbed Mennonite girls who work as servers.
https://www.cofarmbeer.com I was drinking their stout while watching Mahomie make Broncos fans cry.

Must see weirdness in the SLV.
https://www.southfork.org/penitente-canyon there is also a small graveyard near the town of La Garita that is worth a visit. Some of the most interesting home made monuments I have seen.
https://www.colorado.com/amusement-parks/ufo-watchtower go at night and watch the top of Mount Blanca for the ghost lights. Keep in mind there are no roads above treeline on this mountain and the terrain is steep, so the lights you see aren't headlights.
https://fredscruton.com/folios/dominic-cano-espinoza/ Cano is one of my heroes, hang around and if you see him say hello. Friendly guy and he will gladly tell you his stories. I got an invitation to climb up to his third story art studio to see how he makes stuff next time I stop by.

Re: Top 3 in your city
This one is particularly tough as Maine's beer scene is on point but:
Top 3 breweries in Portland ME and surrounding:
1. Maine Beer Co ( Freeport - best beer: Lunch )
2. Goodfire ( Portland - best beer: Waves )
3. Bissell Brothers ( Portland - best beer: Bucolia )

Re: Top 3 in your city
1) West Main Crafting. Interesting place. It used to be a bakery and was converted to a brewery a few years ago. The building is still referred to as the bread box. Smithtown Seafood shares the building. It's owned by one of the best chefs in town, Ouita Michel. In addition there is https://foodchainlex.org/ which grows talapia for Smithtown and uses the waste for aquaponics.
2) Mirror Twin
3) Country Boy

Re: Top 3 in your city
This one's tricky.
1. Fraser River Brewing - new kid on the block*, but I'm friends with one of the bartenders, so that goes a long way. Closest to my house, cool patio/food truck area, and with a name like that how can you go wrong
2. Hideaway Park - better beer and maybe a better patio too, but allllll the wayyyy in Winter Park (like 2 miles away), tiny and prone to getting claustrophobic inside. Good locals potluck dinner Tuesdays in the winter
3. The Peak - beer sucks, food sucks, but open later than the others, and the lifties hang out there, so maybe the best spot for the party to get weird
*there's one that just recently opened called Big Trout brewing, and I've heard good things, but in a matter of days in June to go from "no drinking or dining out at all" to "drinking and dining out shoulder to shoulder with y'all tourists from hotspot states," I'm still just not quite comfortable going out again yet.

Re: Top 3 in your city
the Korean bbq sammich from the food truck out back is killer.
but every sammich is served with a side of *sigh* chips.
