Nah. It was the green white blue flag with a tree silhouette on it. Mightve been dotnet or commie.

Regardless of avatars, Cascadia is a genius amongst idiots.

Everyone on the site seems to be one sans him.

I have an idiot friend who believes the name Redskins isn't racist enough and claims to be part of a group who would feel proud if a few more inflammatory adjectives were prefixed to it. I could type out the whole story, but it is about 39 lines long with a Tweet embedded halfway through.

I know, it was a thin veil.

Cascadia is at the bottom of the list as far as how much it hurts. Right next to lobster.

Lobster predicts that will you regret that statement in 2021.

It's just too much of a witch hunt.
"Did you say something at anytime in your past that you regret now? Let's dig and find out and then hopefully you get fired."

So you’re upset that people who said racist/sexist things in the past and got away with it are no longer getting away with it?

I'm upset with this movement to so thoroughly investigate things that people have said.
Spoken. With their voice.
And then put into some racist/sexist court that is as valid as the NCAA making judgements.

I hate this war on words - it's stupid, it's subjective, it's frightening.
They are words - nothing is hurt but feelings from words.
Feelings should not be protected ( all my opinion - and this is obviously my ideal theoretical environment of protections so I don't really care about current interpretations of how the law deals with emotional distress, that doesn't validate an argument for me ).
If you're an asshole/bigot - that's on you - and hopefully someone most people won't want to associate with/will ignore.

And it's not unreasonable to think that if you were caught even saying the things that I currently am ( defending free speech and it's protections MORE than just the general interpretation of our constitution - and I KNOW that he isn't being prosecuted for his words - but I am speaking to the danger of speech when it comes to your current/future employment ) at your place of employment, you could be fired in today's environment.

A war on actions, on the other hand, I fully support.

Sorry, but when you are an ambassador, your words are literally representing 330 million people. If this was the 1970s, maybe I let this pass. This was 2018 when this over-70-year-old billionaire said stupid things. Along with the obvious corruption (British Open) coming out of it. The war on words thing is stupid. He's allowed to say it. He's allowed to be shunned for it too.

You can say what you want without being arrested. You don't get to say what you want without consequences. If you say bad things, I'm not going to hire you. I google perspective employees I'm interviewing all the time. If they are out there saying things I don't think fits with my team, then I'm going to pass. Sorry, words have consequences.

For instance, if someone say, searched outbreakorn's comments on kusports.com, ( and not me - just being absolute clear, it's why I think it's stupid, I would never actually do something like this ), they could potentially bring something(s) that offended them to your place of employment and pressure your employer to become judge and jury.

Now before the threat of instant negative PR ( i.e. social media ) an employer would probably be able to logically/carefully consider the information, have a conversation with you and determine whether WORDS you spoke actually affect how you perform at your job. But now, with the right pressure from twitter, a mob ( and please - don't respond with some sort of 'wow, overreacting' - this is happening ) can find out who you are, where you work, and all, despite the fact they have no interest or knowledge of who you are, fight until they feel justified in 'winning' because of something you said 10 years ago.
