Kansas City thread
Re: Kansas City thread
I haven't tried any there, but your next best bet is Independence Ave.

Carniceria San Antonio has a place on Independence Ave now.
Ricos Tacos Lupe on the Blvd is also pretty good.

In JOCO we like to keep the rif-raf East of State Line.
Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Torchy’s tastes good, but it’s hard for me to get behind such a place. If you want decent tacos and are not comfortable taking to someone who speaks mostly Spanish, Torchy’s might be a winner.
Re: Kansas City thread
I've never heard of them, but their breakfast tacos look interesting.

"Breakfast" anything usually means eggs. Not an eggs guy.

Denver loves them some breakfast tacos, but if I'm not mistaken, they did steal the concept from Austin.
Re: Kansas City thread
Torchy’s is good, but overrated. Breakfast taco’s are dumb. Just get a breakfast burrito and get on with your day.

So if the ingredients are exactly the same but I put them in a smaller tortilla, it is dumb.
For me, the only argument here ( for 'dumb' ) is if you are eating on the go.

Can I start with the queso fundito please?
And then i'll take the #8 with steak, the # 12, the # 22 with steak or chicken and the #27.
Unfortunately, I don't see a drink menu, but I do see a margarita in the photos on your site, but if you don't serve drinks, i'll scratch the fundito, #8, 12, 22 and 27.

Is that place good? It looks dreadful from the outside. Had no idea it was actually not dreadful strip-mall Mexican (which I do love, dearly).
