People actually think this is an attractive building?
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
I’m on Gutter’s side. The ingress/egress is terrible along with the parking. When the pandemic is over, a new, more convenient building should be built. More capacity than Rupp.
I would put it out on 1500 Road with a view of the Kaw with a connected convention hall/hotel.

The walk in from where you park is part of the experience. Islamic center is our go to. That or a students driveway and pay them with a case of beer.
Or, dont be cheap and pay the $50 or whatever it is to park in the lot right by AFH.

Dude. The walk up Naismith is second to none. Just kind of appears depending on how you walk in. Just great. The moment you open the doors it’s an entirely different building.

And even before that - seeing the fans lined up in the thousands.
I just park in the Lied center and walk down.
Walk back up feels invigorating after you've been in Allen for 3 hours.

Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
always felt the same about the walk....it is nice to arrive freezing cold because itll be hot as shit for the 3hrs in AFH....and then it feels good to leave hot and cool off on the walk to the car. Especially if i am driving 345ish miles/5ish hrs back to IL.
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
I used to walk to AFH/campus from my place over on...what was that street again?
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
sweet mustang bro...KU bound!
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
I drove by AFH yesterday and had one single tear slowly trickle down my cheek.
Ain't no seats

Any talk of “replacing the Phog” should get an automatic ban.

Talked to a couple of uk guys this morning. They didn't watch the 2nd half cuz they knew what was coming.
