Grandma's 5 Questions for the last day of Jewlie.
Grandma's 5 Questions for the last day of Jewlie.
1. Do you either drink, smoke weed, or take a prescribed medication for the specific reason of treating "anxiety" and/or to "relax" and/or as a "sleep aid"?
2. If you had to guess, what do you think the average age of a medically licensed doctor is in this country?
I'm not just talking "physicians". Consider ALL doctors from a newly graduated (from med school) psychiatrist to someone such as Fauci.
3. Two parter
A) I assume everyone reading this is over 10 years old. Think back to when you were 10. Is your current profession better, worse, or about the same as what you thought you would be doing when you would be the age you currently are?
B) Same thing, think back to when you were 10. Financially (how much money you currently make and have) do you have more, less, or about the same as you thought you would have at the age you currently are?
4. I figure most people don't know the exact number unless they live in a smaller apartment.
How many windows AND doors do you know/think are in your home? You don't need to count the "window/s" on your oven and microwave.
5. What color is the towel you most recently used to dry yourself after taking a shower/bath?

4. 13 windows in my house, 2 doors (only reason I know this is because I have a guy here re-storing my 1920's original windows)
5. All my bathroom towels are white

Re: Grandma's 5 Questions for the last day of Jewlie.
1. Extremely aggravated in terms of the answer to the question in relation to my mother.
As far as me - Complicated answer and I abstain. Problem is my history of addiction.
2. Very difficult for me to answer being that I live near a "University" hospital and live in a building in which their are doctor's offices who are affiliated with the university. Therefore, I am surrounded by MANY young docs. It has an influence on my thinking.
I am going to say 50.
3. A - Without question worse but I expected to be an NHL player so I would have been retired by now.
B - Complicated but I have to say worse.
4. Tough to answer. I have "split" windows. If I don't count the split/s 13. 10 windows and 3 doors. If I do count the split windows 20.
5. Black

Your response to question #4 - Are you counting bedroom and bathroom doors?shindig wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 8:18 am 1. I take prescribed medication for anxiety/occasional depression, probably drink too much as well at times.

Re: Grandma's 5 Questions for the last day of Jewlie.
No, sorry, just exterior doors...lol. If including interior doors, I have 2 bedroom doors, 2 bathroom doors and 3 closet doors, and technically a pass-through door between my dining room and kitchen.
Edit: Oh and a pantry door in my kitchen and a basement door. Dang I messed this question all up.

Re: Grandma's 5 Questions for the last day of Jewlie.
1. Gave up drinking almost two years ago. Miss it from time to time. Especially on a Thursday or Friday night in the back yard - really miss maragaritas. And bourbon. Haven't smoked weed since my 20s.
2. 48.
3. When I was 10 I wanted to either be an airline pilot or a hockey goalie. I'm neither. Never would have envisioned doing what I'm doing now because at 10, I was an idiot and only thought about a handful of things (baseball, hockey, football, paper route, school, girls). Financially I'm way better off. Not that I'm well-to-do, but at 10 I thought $250 was a ton of money. If at 10 years old I was told that my first job out of college would pay $19,000 a year I would have thought I was rich.
4. 22. Really, I only have 22 windows in my house?
5. Red and White.

Re: Grandma's 5 Questions for the last day of Jewlie.
1. Alcohol and weed
2. 42
3. Don't remember ambitions until 13, when I decided I wanted to be a programmer. Now I lead a team of devs, so I enjoy it less, but make more.
4. 20ish doors, probably similar number of windows.
5. I don't know. I didn't even notice it when my wife had our dining room painted a different color a couple weeks ago.

Re: Grandma's 5 Questions for the last day of Jewlie.
1. No. I do consume alcohol but only with food or socially. No weed. I can’t smoke anything.
2. 40. Median age is probably 55
3. I wanted to be a photographer for National Geographic, and not because of the attire of some women subjects . I was very fascinated by the locales. I think I have a better profession, especially under pandemic conditions.
Definitely better financially
4. 19 windows of which 3 are also doors. 14 other doors, including closets
5. Dark brown (chocolate)

Yeah, I'm thinking that was in the lower 10% of questions I have asked. Obviously didn't give it much thought. I'll try harder tomorrow.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 4:18 pmWhat a hard question! Re: Grandma's 5 Questions for the last day of Jewlie.
I appreciated the effort. Also spent a good minute or so actually thinking how many doors and windows i actually have. Some issue counting the double style windows that swing open. We have those in the 2 smaller bedrooms, but i counted them as 1 each....now i am still wondering do we count shower doors? Closet doors? Pantry doors? Sliding closet doors (are those techinically even doors?)?Grandma wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 9:08 pmYeah, I'm thinking that was in the lower 10% of questions I have asked. Maybe it was actually a great question! Sure got everyone thinking.
