So provide to me an explanation as to why his only concern about COVID is that it is screwing up his chances at reelection and seems not to give a flying fuck about who it impacts? He doesn't care if poor people die. I believe "yes, people are dying; it is what it is" was his quote that sums it up perfectly. He has no use for blacks or hispanics because he sees them as mostly poor. And he doesn't give a shit about poor white people, either.

Stop with the ONLY. This lame notion that one example to the contrary nullifies any argument is childish and silly. Everyone else is just collateral damage.

It's over the top to you. But isn't just about everything else this President does over the top of your scale? It is mine.

I am not making this about race, I genuinely don't think Trump is a traditional racist. He just see minorities as generally less likely to have money, which means they have generally less value to him. His racism is at the transactional level. He has no problem with wealthy black people or about black people who say nice things about him. He just goes on percentages and sees them as less likely to be either of those things.

I agree it isn't some grand scheme. He just doesn't care enough about the majority of people negatively affected by COVID to do anything more than the bare minimum he is being forced to do to keep his reelection hopes alive.

No conspiracy theory here, just an observation based on his long history. It's just my opinion. If you feel differently, cool.

I received a Trump survey/donation request (on "President Donald J. Trump" letterhead) in the mail today. A few highlights:

* It is dated "Tuesday Morning".

* "Republican candidates and I need your immediate feedback on the critical issues that will dominate the presidential elections." Plural?

* Your answers...are vital to prioritizing the issues Republicans and I must focus on...". Should be Republicans and me, I think. Same issue happens a couple more times.

* "(Over, please)"

* "You will also help us answer the Radical Democrats' divisive class warfare rhetoric and outright distortions about my historic record of Promises Made, Promises Kept."

* "They want to reverse the gains you have helped me and Republicans achieve by putting America First."

* "We cannot allow them to succeed!"

* "Your guidance on the major issues facing America today is critical to me and Republican candidates..."

The survey itself is the hilarious false-choise stuff (e.g., "Do you support Capitalism and free markets or Big Government Socialism and government control of the economy?").

If you decline to send money back with the survey, you fill in this bubble: "No. I want Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi in power to enact their Big Government Socialist schemes."
