There have been at least 50 things he's said and done in past week that I haven't commented on (such as being so fucking stupid in regards to M.O.) but today I feel the need to call him out on the Goodyear fiasco.
Amazing to me how quickly he called for a "boycott" and he doesn't give a fuck how/that it affects their workers (and investors) who actually support him.

Goodyear's global and Americas headquarters are in Ohio. They have significant manufacturing operations in, among other places, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, North Carolina and Virginia.

Seems like a foolish blueprint to antagonize.

Have we talked about this?

Trump Says QAnon Followers Are People Who ‘Love Our Country’

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/19/us/p ... 4-80910850
President Trump on Wednesday offered encouragement to proponents of QAnon, a viral conspiracy theory that has gained a widespread following among people who believe the president is secretly battling a criminal band of sex traffickers, and suggested that its proponents were patriots upset with unrest in Democratic cities.

“I’ve heard these are people that love our country,” Mr. Trump said during a White House news conference ostensibly about the coronavirus. “So I don’t know really anything about it other than they do supposedly like me.”

When told by a reporter about the central premise of the QAnon theory — a belief that Mr. Trump is saving the world from a satanic cult made up of pedophiles and cannibals connected to Democratic Party figures, so-called deep-state actors and Hollywood celebrities — Mr. Trump did not question the validity of the movement or the truth of those claims.

Instead, he offered his help.

“Is that supposed to be a bad thing or a good thing?” the president said lightly, responding to a reporter who asked if he could support that theory. “If I can help save the world from problems, I am willing to do it. I’m willing to put myself out there.”

Will this be appealed, or is this after the remand and likely not to be taken up?

This can't happen. This is unacceptable. Democrats need to put their damn purity tests aside, moderate Republicans need to put their bullshit both-sides-do-it aside, and they need to get this guy out of office.

Anyone engaging in the "well I don't like either candidate" cop out crap is complicit in having a conspiracy theorist leading our country.

I agree - it is missing the mark to dismiss these folks as harmless kooks. It's bad enough already that, in all likelihood, there will be at least one of these in the House next year, with all of the access and platform that comes with it.

This is dangerous.

He isn't a conspiracy theorist; he just likes that conspiracy theorists are easily duped and eager to pass fake information to other voters.

If you gave money to Bannon you are an idiot. And, no Illy, it’s not both sides vilifying each other. Often “Truth has a liberal bias”. Similar to those who send money to Jim Bakker and other charlatans.

If your hatred of brown people runs that deep and it makes you send money to Bannon you deserve everything that comes from it
