NBA boycotts
Re: NBA boycotts
Who is Juanita Broaddrick? And why does her tweet matter enough for an entire article?
Dumb.

Re: NBA boycotts
Should have probably posted this on the Dumbfuck in Charge thread but it works here too.

Re: NBA boycotts
So I know this is NBA related but we're talking about politics now.
I won't put this in the poli-bored b/c that's a trash heap - but i'm a strong advocate of when we can to keep politics talk on the off topic/poli-bored.
NBA of course isn't directly Kansas BB but I'm trying to keep the sports boreds clean of this.
Some people might believe sports and politics should be mixed right now.
This isn't a theological driven bored out for change.
Gutter asks us 5 questions a day about farts - so get over yourself if you thought it was.

Re: NBA boycotts
Interesting thing to me was watching them walk in to the "stadium". I noticed all the Black players were wearing masks. The White players were not. Why do I mention that?
Instead of explaining myself, I'll let others come to their own conclusions.

Re: NBA boycotts
None of the white players?
I saw many white nba players wearing masks in multiple videos of them walking into their meeting yesterday to discuss continuing the playoffs fwiw.
Re: NBA boycotts
I was/am referring to the Washington Mystics - when they originally walked in to the stadium and in to their locker room. I'll try and find the video.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 8:10 pmNone of the white players?

They each wore a letter of Jacob Blake's name on the front of their shirts and had the 7 bullet holes on the back.
Why did I say I found it interesting? I tend to give too much thought to things and I think about things in ways that are not "normal". I figure you know that about me.
My first thought was here were the Black players "following the rule/s" and RESPECTING the "rule/s" while the White players weren't. I'm sure there is probably a simple explanation but in terms of what they were expressing and drawing attention to with their shirts - it made an impact on me that the Black women were "conforming" and the White women were not.
* Edit
Here is the video. Ok, obviously one White player can be seen drinking from a cup but still - no mask to be seen.
