have to agree there....and more so about the winning than power it seems. Just sticking it to the other side.

I have some family members who i viewed as really intelligent and reasonable people until the last 4ish years....and originally i hoped maybe they were pro trump just because they hated HRC....but now i am flabbergasted because i think they actually like trump. Needless to say i simply can't look past that in a lot of instances, so i have kind of written them off at this point. Not sure i care if we ever speak again tbh, which is sort of sad....but sort of not too. I won't lose any sleep over it.

I don't see them in person much anymore, it is all social media, which makes it even worse since most of these family members at 60+.

My dad's side of the family, from the south, but mostly grew up in KC, are mostly moderate liberals....my moms side (other than her), from rural IL and Texas, are trumpers. It is nauseating...i can and do totally tolerate and respect many Republicans...but i have trouble taking people serious who genuinely like trump.

the retaliatory blitz by the white house would have claimed fake news and the like. i’m doubtful that there would’ve been much change in state and federal responses, and even more doubtful there would’ve been any changes in public behavior

this assumes, of course, that trump would’ve denied the validity of the recordings or said they were taken out of context
