The Chiefs looked really good last night and even better, looked like their ceiling is still much higher than where they are now. The defense had some pretty terrible tackling here and there and they really didn't do much with either Hill or Hardman.

I can't wait to see what the rest of the contenders look like at this point. So nice that we won't have a week without NFL games to watch for a long time.

The Chiefs were completely conservative last night, and I think felt like they were better across the board. It was really a 31-7 game to me, as we just played prevent mid-fourth. Also, I think there was only one ball that went long for Pat, the one TD that was overturned in the first drive. After that, it was a lot of dinking and Clyde doing his thing.

There wasn't a point in the game where I was concerned.
Chiefs looked like they could do what they wanted - and the Texans scored at the end facing prevent defenses.

Ward fractured his hand last night so he should be out a bit.
We could be looking at a tougher part of our schedule ( Ravens, Pats ) playing a 7th round corner.

Agreed, especially because the only excuse for being conservative in a competitive game would've been that it's a new squad feeling each other out. This was just knowing the Chiefs were that much better, even down 7-0. This core staying together is really going to pay dividends when other teams with new players are trying to figure each other out. I have no doubt in my mind that Pat could have his eyes closed and still hit Hill, Kelce and maybe Sammy on the run anywhere on the field. It's going to be a fun season. The same type of fun that 2015 UK had up until the Final Four.

Yep. Lots of room to grow and improve from that start and they still put it on a pretty good team. I was beyond thrilled to see where CEH is right now. When they start to really work him into the passing game, he is going to be a beast.

I only remember him being thrown to once, and it was desperation/under pressure and a bad throw.
Getting him in space is going to be a treat.

He had two targets, one I remember was near a lateral that went out of bounds when Pat was scrambling. I think the other was Clyde not running through the route and was overthown.

Ah, that's right, it got memed a ton last night. That was on Pat leading the throw into the defender. Glad he jumped right up after getting slammed.

And got ROCKED again on his spin move to escape Watt.
But while I don't think what we saw ( stuffed on multiple goalline runs ) from CEH is a positive, the carries at the end were all obvious - Houston completely sold out on the run and got penetration at the line or before it - we didn't need a TD and Andy wasn't going to stop the clock/run up the score with a pass.

Yeah not ideal. Now will be playing a 2nd year 6th round draft pick (Fenton) a Special Teamer (Hamilton) a 4th round pick (Sneed) and a 7th round pick (Keyes) at corner. My guess is that we'll see Badger in the slot quite often or out wide.

If he gets a cast, he can play through it. Sneed held his own last night, and with Badger should be set. I think Ward left really early, so probably fine for next couple of weeks.
