The Sunbelt crew with that awesome call ruined an exciting finish though. Felt like the momentum had shifted. So did they though.

My college football season lasted 3.5 hours. See you next year.

At least we found out early that we can use Saturdays to do yard work. No need to spend any time watching college football. Every single minute of ncaa football I watched yesterday was poorly played garbage.

Every single minute you watched was "poorly played garbage"?
How many minutes did you watch and were BOTH teams playing poorly?

I'd say the same thing but there'll be a game this season where we are only down 6 at half and convince myself, like a victim of domestic abuse, that maybe things will change and I'll watch.

I watched some of the Iowa State game where they looked outmatched athletically at more than a few positions by Louisiana Lafayette. Saw some of the K State game where it was just dull mashing a RB into a pile of humanity. That was enough to confirm my distaste for it.

Pretty much. CCU has as many wins at Memorial than KU does in their last 13.

Mangino’s teams were good because they played with a chip on their shoulder, like they felt they should have been playing at a place better than Kansas.

Since then, we’ve had a bunch of guys who look like they’re lucky to be playing at a place like Kansas.

Running Mangino out of town is the dumbest thing KUAD has done. We would've have had at least passable teams, and I don't think Mangino bounces.

This is what I don't get. How has Les failed to change this after 2 years?

It’s at least 50% about the quarterback, from a big picture standpoint. For literally every kind of reason, we just haven’t had a single B+ guy since Reesing. When you know you’re going to be at a size and talent disadvantage across the board (in conference play anyway), you’ve just got to have a quarterback.

Texas Tech almost/should have lost to Houston Baptist in Lubbock. This first week suggests KU will win some games.

Yeah. And I’m not a fan of “band aid” QBs either. MacVittie is a SR, Kendrick a JR.

I mean, maybe you just throw Jalon Daniels out there and roll with it...

Counterpoint: the last ten-plus years suggests KU will not.
