I feel like over population/growing population and the nature of globalization making the world a much smaller place play a much larger role...as do the ever shrinking habitats for animals, as we encroach more on "their space" and have closer interactions with them directly/indirectly we are bound to see more disease jump from species to species (us being one of them).

Deforestation is a big part of climate change, and also a big part of spreading viruses that were otherwise buried deep in the wilderness.

many of the causes responsible for climate change (over population, slash and burn of old-growth forests, the global desire for cheaper goods at the tip of your finger, etc, etc, etc) not only increase the likelihood of encounters with novel viruses, but they also exacerbate the spread

this is one instance/topic, where i actually see a benefit from stepping back from all-out globalism

also, the migrations that have, and will continue to take place due to natural disasters (intensified by climate change) will only increase the chance of spread. displaced peoples will have to congregate together, particularly as we enter into the fall and winter months.

edit: cali could be in for an awful winter...displaced peoples because of the fires, dense population, flu, and covid, ugh...could get really ugly

You sure seem to have time to read back thru to find posts to argue with and/or post rude responses to....so i think you probably had time to read 1 or 2 posts further down to see Trad say exactly what you said (albeit in a much more respectful/thoughtful/less douchey way). This is something you do almost daily.
